7 Reviews of the Aventura 4 Man Tunnel

Decent lightweight tent for the price. The poles can be a real pain if they splinter like ours did (nothing a bit of sellotape would not fix). I would not fancy using it in inclement weather but for good weather summer camping it fits the bill. It'd be tight for 4 people with bags but for 2 adults or 1 adult and two kids it works.

Good for summer camping. Holds up well in wind and rain. Great for two people, may be a squash with four unless small children. Maybe buy a canopy to provide extra raincover in central area. Bedroom areas stay dry if pitched properly so that outer tent is not touching inner tent. Very pleased with purchase.

This is not really a tent for holidays. It is never going to take four humans, even little humans.
My son decided to introduce two of his friends to the joys of camping, and discovered right away that space was going to be a problem. The living area was way too small to sit in, which meant that you were dependant on dry, cool evenings to eat or relax. Clothes and other gear had to be stored in the car.
The second outing with it required an additional tent and a gazebo so they had sufficient space. This really sums up the usability of this item.
The tent is easy to put up, but is only suitable as a sleeping unit. Ideal for festivals, not for holidays.

I was half convinced when I bought this tent that it would only get one use as I got it to introduce my toddler and dog to camping so at £50 this seemed ideal (I actually paid about £38 in a flash sale). Admittedly the first one had a manufacturing fault in the skin but Halfords replaced it without any problems.
As other people have commented it's a cheap tent, lighter and flimsier feeling than others I've had and I don't imagine it will still be going in 5 year's time. That said it's survived 3 outings already this year including strong winds and heavy rain without any ill effects, other than a bit of water blowing under the side into the living area, which is to be expected as, although the bedrooms have a sewn in groundsheet, the living area groundsheet is just clipped in at the corners. There's been no condensation inside and no drafts in the bedrooms. Obviously without a sewn in sheet it does get breezy in the living area when there's a wind outside.
It's easy enough that I can get it up on my own 'helped' by a 3 year old and a dog within 20 minutes, so I imagine if I left them locked in the car I could do it in nearer 10. It packs down into a nice small bag as well so it doesn't take up too much space in the boot.
You can't stand up anywhere in it, but it is tall enough that you don't feel too claustrophobic and you just need to crouch rather than crawl in. I did feel a bit close to the ceiling on my air bed though so we just take SIMs now so there's a bit more headroom sitting up in bed.
The living area is an ideal size for 2 people or maybe an adult and 2 children, but I don't think you'd fit 4 adults in without touching the sides so no good for a rainy day if both bedrooms are full.
All in all it's an excellent value tent.

Price is good. For a first tent, I guess its not a bad tent however, its very week. Don't expect it to last for years. The poles are very thin, the stitching isn't strong and made to last. For another £50.00 you could buy a much better tent.
I tried it and it last two camping sessions. The second time was a windy day and on my return from the shops the tent had blown away, poles has broken and it was a total disaster. The pegs provided are very thin and I highly recommend you get stronger pegs if you go for this tent.

As per other review, for £50 your really cannot complain!
I imagine this tent was developed for the 'festival' market, though I purchased to introduce my partner to the joys of tenting!
Easy to pitch (10 minutes when you've done it once before), plenty of room (at 6 foot 6 I need it!) and attractive design.
All in I'd say its a perfect introduction tent - as we'll be looking at a more expensive option after it's second season.

With a daughter aged 11 wanting her own tent bedroom, it was time for a new tent for a 5 night stay in Scotland. £50 seemed a bit cheap, and it was an impulse purchase (normally I'd research before buying), so I was worried we hadn't pitched before going on the holiday, but pleasantly surprised. Past tents were somewhat more expensive, much larger, and much thicker material.
You could get two adults in each bedroom (and they'd take a double airbed but not much else). With just one of us in each bedroom, it was fairly roomy. Also, I expected I'd have to crawl in and out, but the 140cm height left my knees intact). You could sit in comfort inside the living area, and it was wide enough to take a double cooking station. You could fit two chairs, side by side, at a push, and walk in (albeit ducked down!). The living area is bid enough for two at a squeeze, but not 4 adults if it's raining!
The only negative was the tent pegs. Too flimsy, but thankfully I always seem to have a handful living in the boot of my car.
We had heavy rain, and there were no leaks. While the ground sheet isn't sewn in (or bathtub style), there were no rivers in the morning to contend with, no leaks in the inner tents, and no drips through the fly sheet (despite the hydrostatic head being only 1400mm). No condensation either. Zips survived the week, as did the fibreglass poles, and pitching was relatively painless (about 15 minutes).
What more to add? There are pockets in the inner tents. It wasn't draughty at night, and didn't get too hot in the day despite some days being hot enough for me to get sunburn.
For £50, you can't go wrong.
