5 Reviews of the Urban Escape Altai 2

Great 2 man tent enough room for 3 small or very friendly people.Plenty of storage space in the porch area. Easy to erect and pack away on your own. Bit heavier and bulkier when packed than I would prefer for motorcycle use but still a good buy especially for the price . Don't think you'll get better for any where near the same price.

The tent is easy to put up with its colour marked poles for easy guidance. I found it very spacious especially in the sleeping section which was suspended from the top and sides of the tent. The large door has a mesh net to air it or you can close the door completely. The day space has two doors, two windows and a net window for ventilation. It rained heavily and the wind blew but the tent stood its ground and didn't leak. It is easy to pack away as the bag is expandable and can be squashed when the tent is inside. It appears quite large for one person which is great. Plenty of storage space too, has little pockets in the sleeping section and a couple in the day section. Overall I am pleased with my tent.

Amazing little tent. A little small in height if you are 6ft 2' like me but it kept dry inside during 2 days of solid rain. Very easy to pitch and good value for money at £80 for the tent, double airbed, torch and pump. The only downside is that every time I opened the side door in the rain any water on the top of the tent ran inside the porch area but other than that a great tent.

I wanted a cheap small tent to throw in the back of the car along with my diving kit etc.
It had to be reasonably light and not take up too much room and yet I did not want to pay too much.
This fitted the bill and worked quite well, certainly it kept me dry through a very wet night and stood firm against some quite strong winds.
It is not the most breathable tent in the world and there was some condensation but in this price range I then it will be hard to beat.

Please everyone note, Halfords state 'Tents come with a 2 year guarantee against manufacturing faults'
I wanted a larger 'cheap' one for a 14 day summer trip as I wanted a little more room than my 1 man rig, so I got one of these. I got it home, put it up to 'Check' it out & found it was defective, the 'Ground Straps' were made 8 inches to short and ripped out of the fixing rings when I set the flexi poles, so I took it back and asked for a refund.
They refused stating that as I had 'Used' it the refund option was now off the table.
I had to kick and fight & use my iPhone to show the manager the info on 'sale of goods act' from the trading standards agencys own website, but he still insisted that as it was printed on the receipt that they didn't do refunds for used stuff. I stuck to it and after 30 mins eventually they gave in,(and I went home and ordered a Vango Omegaa 250) cost 50 more, is lighter, & knocks the cheap Halfords/Agos/Tescos stuff out of the water.
