5 Reviews of the Urban Escape Himalaya 4

Easy quick to erect. Plenty of room for four people. Stand up an advantage :) Takes 2 double air beds comfortably, good ventilation. A good tent for 2 adults 2 children or 4 adults. Recommended. Unsure of exact year of make but it may be around 2011.
Bought it off ebay for ( clean/good condition ) £30 in excellent condition.

Great starter tent. We are going to upgrade from this one next year as we would like something a little bigger. Very easy to put up, about 30mins tops. Quicker if you know what your doing. Good size 4 man tent for the price you are paying. One of the tabs on the out side ripped off which secured the one of the guy ropes, but this was when I tripped over it.
Basically its a great value starter tent.

An excellent starter family tent!
Easy to put up with two people, but I've been able to do it in 15 mins by myself after a bit of practice (and not much wind).
Pleasantly surprised by the quality so far and the stability in late summer storms. Poles run in pretty smoothly, stitching looks good, pitches pretty taut, zips run smooth. Tension bands help keep it stable
Can be pitched very quickly with just the crossover poles and the side poles (carefully!) added later.
The options of two bedrooms is good. Nice touch having a plastic window with a mesh top half, clever closing by zip and velcro, so no flapping (2010 model?). Could do with a curtain on the inside, though, so you can see out from inside without having to go outside to roll it up. Good vents for the bedrooms, which have full insect screens.
The tent has living space big enough to stand up in for a six-footer and wide enough the lounge in looking out either of the doors. The bedrooms are a little unsupported at the back. They can be left attached, but are so easy to set-up, it's not really worth it.
Wouldn't want to go to the real mountains in it, but have no qualms about valley camping. Very pleased with it.

Absolute beginners to camping, bought the tent on offer and so pleased with it. Easy to assemble even for us just took a while figuring out which bits were for what, could do with better diagrams, but if we can do it in just over an hour first time, then I am sure anyone can. Bigger than expected and my sons are over 6ft and can both stand up comfortably in the main area.

The instructions with the kit for pitching are basic so be on your wits but once cracked it very pleased with easy pitch and versatility of this family tent. Walk in height with little canopy over front. Door to front and back. Can be used with 2 rooms for 4 people or extended groundsheet for just one room for 2 people. On offer at moment (5th June) £99 prob won't be for long!
