3 Reviews of the Urban Escape Kurai 6

We bought this for family, however on our first outing there was just two of us, we used just two pods one sleeping, one dressing and used the extra space for the table. Its quite easy to put up however found there was just too many guide ropes, like on windows etc, which makes it look more difficult.
Its very spacious, however it did leak ! all the seams started leaking after about ten hours of rain and we have just had to waterproof it upon our return.
I agree with previous review a full ground sheet would be better to keep out bugs, drafts out etc and the Door / Canopy could do with being separate. Overall not a bad tent, I would recommend it to others.

Only used it once but found it to be surprisingly easy to put up , took us, my husband and I about half an hour total . For such a huge tent was worried we'd be there all day! easy to follow instructions!. Can stand up fully which was fantastic, only used 2 of the pods on this visit so used the 3rd area for storing our luggage. Plenty of pockets for things and loops for our lighting. No bugs could get in due to the double skin and mosquito net let air in but no flies ! was quite windy but held up well. Great tent for a family .

This was our first tent and didn't want to spend too much before trying camping with the family. I liked it because it was tall enough to stand in, and had three sleeping pods which meant our two boys could have their own 'room' and me and the wife could share one.
I've been camping three times and not had any problems. Twice it has rained heavily and have been kept nice and dry inside. It's nice that the front door opens up to form a porch, but it's a shame you can't have a door and the porch, as sometimes it's nice to have the porch and if there's a shower, just close the door without having to 'take down' the porch.
Although we've not camped in really sunny conditions I would imagine the tent would get quite warm if exposed to the sun for any length of time on a very warm day.
Pros:
1. Quick and easy to put up (40 mins)
2. Quite a large tent with good sized shared area (middle part)
3. Quite small when packed away (I would say size of two small suitcases)
Cons:
No integrated ground sheet for main body. This has two drawbacks:
1. Prone to creepy crawlies getting into tent
2. If it's cold outside it can be a little draughty in the main body of tent
Although worth noting that each pod has its own ground sheet. So aren't prone to the two drawbacks above
All in all I would recommend this as a first tent if there's a few of you camping. The next tent I buy would however have an integrated ground sheet (although I notice this year's version seems to feature one) for the whole tent. A lot of reviews suggest people avoid these 'jumbo' tents, but I've not had a problem finding a pitch. I certainly wouldn't want to camp in anything smaller with the family!
