2 Reviews of the Hampton 8 DLX

Though I would update the review. Just used it for 13 nights and it stood upto constant 27mph winds and up to 37mph gusts well. Also didn't leak during the torrential rain. The only thing I added was a center strap using a luggage hook with blunt ends as the front was getting a lot of wind at some points. Would recommend doing this if you have one.

Just bought one of these. We are selling our beloved cabanon jupiter trailer tent as we have a new car, don't want a towbar, and have had enough of 3h hour set up and soggy canvas! What an amazing trailer tent though!
Set up was about 25 mins, probably will be quicker once used to it. Size wise it is good. Poles are thick fibre glass and seem substantial. The main bedroom fits a double mattress and camp bed, the second 2 camp beds and the other side one would fit 2 camp beds but currently has one and a 6 fit plus teenager. The blackout bedrooms are not totally dark, but are dark enough for us.
Kitchen area has space for a cooker, table and fridge plus other stuff. This part has a separate ground sheet with space around the edges a putt it doesn't join the walls.Would probably put another ground sheet under the supplied one to stop wind and rain blowing under it.
Weather wise, it stood up to a 2 hour severe rain and thunder storm with no leaks, so very pleased with this. Lots of guys too.
Downsides.Tent material doesn't seem to keep out the sun so it got very hot inside. I decided to use a PCV groundsheet and put this over the main living area and bungie it to the frame. Much less heat inside and less condensation. Am going to look for a more permanent solution but hi gear don't appear to make a liner or roof skin.
Only other thing is it only has one side door plus vents. A second side door would really help it out so a good breeze would flow through.
However, really pleased with it.

Manufacturer's Description
The Hampton 8DLX Nightfall is a sturdy tunnel tent that boasts a spacious, airy living area and very comfortable bedrooms.
The Eclipse bedrooms feature a light-blocking, highly breathable fabric which allows for a dark and airy sleeping space. In contrast, the spacious living area is bathed in natural light thanks to the large transparent windows.
The sewn-in groundsheet keeps your tent floor free of draughts, bugs and moisture. The tunnel shape also gives plenty of head room for easy navigation through the tent and ensures that air is able to flow through the tent to avoid it becoming hot and stuffy.
Supplied in convienient heavy duty trolley bag – one for the tent and one for the poles and pegs – to prevent any damage in transit.
Whether it’s a family camping trip or a festival with friends, the Hi-Gear Hampton 8DLX Nightfall is a great space to store your kit and rest your head.
