We have had this tent for a couple of years now. We bought it to go back to camping now the kids have grown up.

This is a really well designed tent, there are only two of us so we only pitch one bedroom, this gives us bags of space if the weather is rubbish.

All the little zip flaps and mesh for ventilation are well thought through.

The only reason we did not give it ten, was if it rains and you open the front door you get some water drip in.

Loads of head room inside and easy to put up

All in all this is a great tent.

A brilliant tent.

We bought a second hand Mojave 5 tent three summers ago and it’s still going strong.

It has loads of space for small family of 4.We swapped the three person bedroom pod for another four person pod so we’re all snug together in the same room. Double SIM in the middle with single on each side so no jumping out of bed in the middle of the night to see to the kids.

The remaining bedroom pod is reduced to a single and we use that as a store.

The living area easily fits our four chairs and couple of tables and the carpet adds a bit of comfort.

The Mojave has never leaked and has remained standing in strong winds but does sway about a bit. (As it’s supposed to.) When it dies we’ll probably upgrade to a similar style tent but with steel poles for that added peace of mind.

We got the tent for a bargain but it was definitely worth the full price.

I have owned several tents in my life but the Mojave 5 has got to be one of the best. It's quick and easy to put up but I do say if they are more than 2 persons staying in it the porch is a must. I have had seven people stay in this tent only for a night but we had plenty of space and a comfortable nights sleep

Our 1st tent bought after reading reviews and we are really pleased with our purchase. The full head room is great and the tent feels spacious and airy. We have the porch too which gives it a really generous feel and is great as the food prep/dining area. We have found that the fixings for attaching the porch to the tent are poor and don't hold when windy and the porch 'pops' off. Not a huge problem but it takes 2 stars from the overall score. We have 2 children and a dog and we all lived happily in the tent.

This is a review for long term usage on our first Mojave 5, This was purchased new in late 2010 used at first as our own private tent but 2 seasons ago we rented it out pre sited on our camp site, the old tent stood up well in all weathers never leaked got flattened twice in storms but stood back up as good as gold, this year we noticed that the faded sections were starting to get brittle and thin eventually breaking apart also the fly sheet started to tear around ground Level, The end Came in a rather dramatic way in a storm where the whole tent ripped apart. I have given a 10 out of 10 on this tent for the reason 1) working out on average this tent had done the equivalent of 10 years normal service before failing

2) not bad for a Tent that we paid £129 for as an opening offer excellent service.

We have a 2011 tent in service and will report back when that fails now in to it's 2nd season with us. We have also replaced the 2010 with 2 new Voyager 6 tents loads more room overall.

Very good tent. Its my first tent with a sewn in groundsheet - what a difference. Only slight drawback I find the step on front door a little high, bit tricky for small kids, but I would still recommend this tent.

I've bought a porch which was on offer in go outdoors for £50 bargain. Frees up all the living area in tent. Don't think I'll look for another tent, this does the job very well. Hope this helps

Bought this last year and used to for 2 weeks this year. In wind and rain it stood well. Very easy to pitch and I love the sewn in ground sheet. Used the footprint and carpet also and it made a huge difference to our camping. Large first bed chamber and a smaller one an adequate size. There was 2 of us camping so the second bedroom became a storage and dressing area. Loved the large area to sit and chill. It was helped by the fact we had the porch and I would, advise anyone who has the tent to get the porch and gain a lot more space. We used porch as kitchen and dinning area which meant the tent was used for sitting room which was brill.

Easy to pitch especially with footprint. We have a royal Avignon 6 plus also and that can be a pain to,pitch and no sewn in groundsheet.

We felt comfortable and cosy in this tent and would recommend it .

We have camped twice in this tent now. We have also purchased the porch and carpet and groundsheet. We have had tents before and find the separate groundsheet helpful for keeping the underside clean. This tent is the easiest we have had to erect. We have used the tent in heavy rain and sunny weather. The tent does collect condensation but doesn't every tent. Two adults and three children use the tent.

We just got back from using this tent in the new forest. Fitted the two of us nicely with loads of room as we only used one of the bedroom bits and didnt put up the other one and used the space for storage etc. We had everything from sunshine to rain to wind and thunder. The tent held up nicely, didnt leak or anything. The sown in groundsheet is brilliant. The only downside of this tent is after or during rain the door sorta opens inwards due to the slope of the front so water does run into the tent a bit. We are lookin to get the porch which will sort this problem and give loads more room. Just a shame we hadnt had this tent on past camping trips :)

We have the tent, porch, footprint and carpet. Definitely the best of the five tents we've owned. Plently of living space as all of the kitchen stuff stays in the porch (along with damp footwear and coats!). Easy to get up and down (our teenager now does most of the work) and this year stayed put during a very windy night and dry during a torrential downpour. We did have to make some adjustments as the porch separated from the tent at one point. Overall, highly recommended for a family of 3/4.

Manufacturer's Description

Easy to erect, easy to dismantle, and offering generous living space, the Mojave 5 is a great choice for families wanting comfortable, fuss-free camping, or couples wanting extra space for storage and fun.

It pitches outer first, with separate 3 and 2 person rooms that clip in to the underside.

With taped seams, a sewn-in groundsheet and completely waterproof outer layer (3000HH), you can be sure of total protection from rain and draughts.

The poles are angled to give you maximum headroom throughout the tent, so no need to stoop when you're inside. The pole sleeves have slick inners to make pitching the tent quick and easy.

In warmer weather, the breathable inner and 2 side doors with full mesh panels give you superb ventilation and allow plenty of light into the tent. The large front door can be extended out as a canopy, using the steel porch poles, offering shelter from sunshine or rain.

It has bright and reflective pre-attached guylines to keep it stable and secure, and more visible in the dark. There's also a electrical cable access point allowing you to use appliances inside the tent with the minimum of fuss.

A practical and versatile option for families, group campers or anyone who needs comfort and breathing room when out in the wild.
