1 Reviews of the Utility Tent
By: Camping geek Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2009 Rating:
Pro - The tent is roomier than most toilet tents, which was a bonus.
Con - we have used our tent a maximum of five times (but bought it over 12 months ago) and the top section of each fibreglass pole has completely shattered. I took it back to go outdoors only to be told by the sales assistant that he knew it was a really bad design and that this was bound to happen. Apparently since there isn't a connector at the top of the tent it puts too much strain on the poles arch and will break.
I couldn't be bothered going through the rigmarole of contacting hi gear and have just bought a Khyam toilet tent for £50 instead (only £10 more than the higear one).
