Not really suitable for backpacking due to weight/size issues, but I did use it for this and just about got away with it. To say it is a 3 man tent is a stretch, I would call it a spacious 1 man tent. Or good for couples. Totally waterproof ( it rained on my first night away) and a nice attractive looking yellow interior. Vents at both doors and 2 at the top, with midge mesh, which is very effective. Highlander seem to be getting a bad reputation for quality but both my tent and Highlander sleeping bag were both more than adequate.
