By: Its raining again  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2015   Rating:

Ok, first I have to say that we have pitched the tent for the first time today, it only arrived yesterday! We have not slept in it yet, that will have to wait until next summer.

I'm really glad we pitched the tent in the garden and didn't try to go away in it as it's very different from any other tent I have ever pitched, we watched the video, pitched a bit, then watched the next bit etc!

It did take ages to put up, partly because of watching the video, stopping for lunch and you have to tie each of the guy ropes on.

The guy ropes come in 3 lengths, shortest ones for the back, longest ones down the sides and middle sized ones everywhere else. The guy rope on the very back of the tent was impossible to tie on when the tent was up so we will have to tie it on when we take down the tent. (It's staying up waiting for rain!)

Fixing the poles inside the tent was a little tricky but I'm sure with practice will become much easier, I'm only 5.4 foot so found doing up the top of the zips hard, I'd need a step if pitching on my own.

There is a window at the very back of the tent that you can roll up but because I'm vertically challenged, I could only just reach it to do up!

There are no tent tidy pockets in the main living area, I'm planning on making some, but will make some matching bunting while I'm at it.

There is plenty of room in the day area for all our clutter and we will be able to cook under the canopy if (when) it is raining.

There is a hook above the front door area for a light with velcro down the side for the cable.

The groundsheet is zip in bath tub style and can be pegged down at the doors so you don't trip over it going in and out.

Hope this helps if you are thinking of buying this tent. The RRP at present is £1229.51 and we bought it for £614.75.
