4 Reviews of the 325 Standard Pod

I Used a 350 pod on my visit across Eastern Europe 2018. A very good tent with top quality canvas and Zips (plus good service after sales). If you have the money to spare and are a avid camper this is the tent for you . I hadn't camped for awhile , so camping didn't suit me, noisy campers, inconsiderate , and in places down right aggressive. Its put me off camping and are now selling this tent with regret . If you are in my position, think careful about spending a lot of money on this tent, as like most second hand camping equipment ,loses its value quickly, and a Karsten tent is no exception. This tent could do with a transferable warranty to help people like me but to be fair, it's a tent not a car . Also we were lucky with the weather ,but folding up in the wet, I'm not so sure about, but once a system is reached it will go back in the bag dry.

Very happy with this tent. Top quality and very easy and quick to erect. We use an EHU pump to inflatable it. For one night stops we use the main pod only which takes us about 15 min to put up. The climate in this tent is very good because of the roof ventilation and the breathable cotton. It is certainly not cheap but on the other hand it will last for many years of camping. You need a car to transport this tent as it is heavy.

We rented the Karsten tent available at Irvinghoe town farm campsite LU7 9EL. We had very hot sunshine and torrential rain during our stay. We were well ventilated and also very waterproof. It also seemed to cope well in the wind. We were really happy in this tent. I am not sure what model the site has - but it seemed to have additional awnings, which were useful given the rain. The sleeping area was huge. Plenty of room to stand up and lots of room to sleep - we were 4 but I think this could manage 6 (or 8 with a tight fit). We don't have our own tent so not a lot to compare it with but I think I will find it hard to consider any other tents now I have used the Karsten.

A superb tent. Inflatable and up in minutes. All top quality materials - the Rolls Royce of tents perhaps. There is masses of room with plenty of headroom for tall people. We have purchased one complete with the bedroom extension which has two double compartments. We've just camped for three days in torrential rain and not a drop came inside. Was rock solid in the gale force winds. We felt secure and cosy while other tents around us weren't fairing so well.

Manufacturer's Description

The Karsten 300 Model and up are really the start of the family range. From this size, you are able to add pods to all sides, sleeping extensions or additional awnings. So long as the main pod is made with all the correct specifications for adding to in the future, your tent can grow with your family!
