1 Reviews of the Hatfield
By: JayneJ Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:
I absolutely love this tent. We are a family of four, and this tent was ideal for us. Much superior the the pop up Quencha 4.2 XXL that I returned.
On our first trip the rain was absolutely lashing down (and I mean lashing down), but we managed to put it up in pretty good time. This is a quick erect tent and it really is.
The bedroom pods are a decent size with internal pockets, a mesh door and a solid door. We were able to keep our bags at the end of the airbeds, so we had plenty of space.
We used the space bedroom pod for storing all our kitchen equipment, but we are hoping to buy the annexe when they come crack into stock, so all the kitchen gear will be put there and the spare bedroom used to house the portable loo.
Fitted groundsheet throughout.
The only thing I'd change is the hook for the lantern is near the point the hookup enters the tent, so every time we went to boil the kettle or get something out of the fridge, we'd hit our head on the hanging lantern.
On the campsite, a number of people asked us about our tent and told us how impressive it was.

Manufacturer's Description
Remember the Ridgidome XXXL? well it's back by popular demand but now with all of the benefits of the latest Khyam technology. The main body of the tent can be put up in seconds and with the addition of the bedroom pods at the side and back the whole thing can be standing in less than 15 minutes. All this means that it is just as practical for a shorter trip as it is for a long holiday, meaning you don’t have to consider the more costly option of buying more than one tent.
The large front door can be guyed open to provide a canopy, that provides some shelter from the sun if you plan to cook outdoors. The living area is a decent size with enough room for a camping table and chairs and storage furniture. The high ceiling means there is a feeling of spaciousness although the addition of another window to increase the natural light would be welcome.
The three big bedrooms lead off the main living space – they are wide enough to house a double airbed and still have some storage space but don’t have a huge amount of headroom. The inner tents hook on and if you don’t need all three, you could choose to remove one completely to give you more living space, or keep it in place and use for storage.
Other features include cable entry point, storage pockets in the sleeping pods, large D-shaped bedroom doors and ventilation panels in the bedrooms and a fully sewn in 150D polyester groundsheet.
