1 Reviews of the Montpellier 10
By: Stanley21 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2010 Rating:
I ordered last winter an 8 man tent direct from Khyam, unfortunately there was a mix up from the supplier and the tent was sent elsewhere. I was absolutely delighted with Kyham when I contacted them, they admitted their error and as the tent that I had requested was no longer available they offered me the next one up in the range for the same price as the smaller one at £200. The Montpellier 10 was in the sale for £350 so bargain.
I decided to upgrade my previous tent as I now needed much more space for a disabled child and all the extra space he needs for himself and his gear, so the bonus space was heaven sent. And boy is this tent big, there are two bedrooms at each end with a splitter sheet making these split into two, with a huge central living space all brought together with a fully sewn in ground sheet.
The outer has a very good HH for water, it rained a lot on our last holiday. There is only one niggle that I can give about Monty and that is the poles - they give and take a lot in high winds, and we have experienced those! You can count on the poles to withstand the wind but it's the pitching thats the problem - they are very tight to get into the eyes and I split a pole during pitching.
As a whole I got much more than I bargained for thanks to Khyam's mistake and their honesty. Thumbs up to them and as for their tent it is simply awesome, a very well made outer and inner, easy to pitch for 2 people, keeps you very dry, acres of space for a large family. ..... but take care of the poles!

Manufacturer's Description
The Montpellier 10 is one of the biggest family tunnels in this price range. At nearly 7 meters long by 3.5 meters wide there is plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax. The dividing walls in each inner tent can be clipped into one of two positions. The first position offers 2 very generous 2 berth bedrooms whilst the second position enables the inner tent to offer comfortable 3 berth and 2 berth bedroom sections, accommodating a total of 10 people.
The large windows on either side of the living area give plenty of light and make an ideal place to sit and relax in the evening. The tent is generously ventilated with guy out vent ports on each bedroom and a three way window in the living area section.
A zipped power port and cable management system come as standard allowing the fitting of an electric light into the centre of the living area. The front door can be put up onto canopy poles (supplied) creating a big sun shade if so desired. A small eyebrow canopy over the doorway protect the entrance during inclement weather. To summarise the Montpellier 10 makes an ideal family tent offering excellent value for money at this fantastic price.
