7 Reviews of the Quebec Deluxe

I can only reiterate what other people are saying about this fantastic tent. We bought the tent for 4 adults (yes 4!) to go on a weeks camping in Wales. And yes, it rained for most of the week along with high winds. No problem for the tent though. We often have another group join us for weekends away. One weekend we had to deal with thunder, lightning and downpours hailstones. Again the tent was fine. If you can, get one.

We researched online for a long time before buying this - it was our first tent and oh my goodness I feel sorry for any future purchases having to keep up with this. It is a brilliant tent. We have a family of 5 and our children love the fact they can have a room and space of their own.

The Scottish climate has thrown a huge amount at this tent - we have recently spent a week with it in basically a pond (very very flooded site) and that caused to problems to the tent infrastructure.

We have also taken 7 adults away in this tent for a girls weekend, and it coped admirably and again, withstood a huge amount of rain.

Actually I've always said I shouldn't review this tent because we have never actually tested it in all facilities - we have only frozen in it, and suffered torrential rain in it.We've never actually had it in a sunny day.!

Absolutely brilliant tent.

Bought this tent after much research on this website. The bedroom pods are a fair size,as a family of four we use the large pod at one end of the tent, this offers more than enough room for two double and one single air beds. We have had two main camping trips in this tent, one in Somerset the other in Cornwall, we had awful weather on both occasions, gale force winds and heavy rain. Have to say this tent just took everything thrown at it. OH and kids were really scared at one point , but it gave us about 8 hours of protection from the elements. What more can I say, easy to pitch, great space, really well made, utterly recommend to any large family.

My friend had this tent and I loved it so much I went out and bought it.

Large tent, great space, but still just small enough to fit on a normal pitch so you don't have to pay for a large pitch. My husband and I pitch the tent, we don't need a third person.

One end has a large bedroom pod which divides into two bedrooms with a wardrobe in the middle. Each bedroom is just big enough for a double blow up and the wardrobe is big enough for a sleeping mat. At the other end of the rectangle is two bedroom compartment, one is the same size or a tiny bit smaller than the ones at the other end. The other is larger.

This tent can hold my family of four, two guests and all our stuff quite easily. We have one bedroom as a larder. You can stand up very easily as it is quite high and you can also cook inside the tent. When it rains we can all fit easily in the front room.

My friend has the carpet you can purchase in hers and it is great quality.

The design of the tent is very well thought out e.G. There a little zipped up pockets for each of the guy ropes to stop them tangling in transit. There are two doors on each side of the tent, so it doesn't matter which way round you pitch it. There are windows that can be zipped open.

I loved this tent the first time I saw it and I love it even more now I have used it.

After much research we went for the Quebec DLX and we were not disappointed. You CAN feel the quality. We've got 3 children and a dog and we all have plenty of space. Even the dog has his own room! The ground sheet has holes for pegging down the bedrooms, this also serves as a good place to secure the dog's lead. There's a canopy which hangs a couple of inches under the roof of the living space. This provides a pocket of air which, by the wonders of science, stops condensation. The carpet is a great addition as the kids can lounge on the floor in comfort.

There's a central light hook with velco tabs to keep the wire tidy. The large windows help you to feel less closed in. The bedrooms have a window with curtain which means the kids can make use of their rooms during the daytime. Set up isn't complicated, it's just big. It took 2 of us less than an hour. (It's too heavy to put up like a tunnel tent with skinny poles where you thread them all through then stand it up.) I love this tent. Went to a tent show recently and I'd still buy this one it's my favourite.

We bought this tent earlier this year and its absolutely brilliant! We also have three children and the space and flexibility this tent provides is fantastic. Mum and Dad have a large double pod and each boy has their own pod reducing arguments and providing each with plenty space. We used the single pod for storage/loo. It also took us about 2.5hrs to set it up the first time we used it but only 2hrs the second. This tent works best if you can have your table and cooker etc outside. If you have them inside you end up blocking entry to the bedrooms. What I would love is an 'extension' to hook onto one of the doors to allow table etc to live there.

We recently upgraded our tent. We chose this tent as we have 3 children and we needed a tent that gave us the space for a sleeping compartment for each of our children and an area for our toilet etc. This tent met all our requirements.

The sleeping compartments are each end of the tent. One end has one complete pod, split into 2 double pods with a wardrobe/single sleeping pod in the middle. These pods are all separated by a zip. The single pod in the middle easily fits a single air bed only. The double pods either side easily fit a double air bed with small gap at side. On the other end are 2 separate pods - a double pod and a triple pod which can be split with a hanging curtain to make a double and a wardrobe/single pod. The living area in the middle is very spacious and can accommodate all your tables, chairs etc.

The instructions for the erection of the tent are not easy to follow, but by trial and error we managed to find the best way way to put up the tent. Because the poles are aluminium, they are quite heavy. The ground sheet is sewn-in all round, except for the double doors each side, where the ground sheet is a bath-tub, but has toggles on, so the ground sheet can be flattened out when the doors are open, so you do not trip over them getting into the tent. There is a separate cover to toggle onto the ceiling area which allows air to be trapped to allow the tent to be cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather. The ground sheet has ventilation areas all round the bottom, which makes the tent feel lovely and airy. We found the tent to be very spacious and the bedroom areas give you lots of various options for use which we found very useful. All the guyropes all have zip up pockets to keep them tidy when not in use.

We had a very heavy downpour of rain the night before we left on our first trip out with this tent - it did not leak at all and dried out the next morning in time for us to take the tent down. However, considering the price and the 5000 weatherweave, we would expect nothing less! Despite the poor instructions, and a couple of errors in pitching, we managed (with 2 adults) to decide on direction to pitch, put down footprint groundsheet, put the tent up and set up bedroom pods with sleeping bags, airbeds and set electric hook up, put out tables and chairs etc. In 2.5 hours, which we did not think was too bad for a first attempt.

We are very happy with this tent - the only downsides we found are:-

1) Poor instructions

2) Very heavy pack size

3) Quite expensive.

The good points are:-

1) Very spacious

2) Good bedroom pod variations.

3) Very airy and light

4) Lots of pockets for storage on bedroom pods and inside bedroom pods.

5) Neat guyrope storage pockets.

6) You can feel the quality - it does live up to the 'You get what you pay for' addage.

We do really love this tent. For a large family/group this is an ideal tent, and we can't wait to use it again!
