3 Reviews of the Windsor
By: Victor Khyam Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2007 Rating:
Fusspots and Steviemoo have covered a lot of the positive aspects already. However, the reason that we chose this tent is that it offers two massive doors with canopies which for continental camping is fantastic. The only drawback for me has been the door zips. I am a keen supporter of Khyam products (hence the name =) ) but in wet weather the door zips continually snag on the baffle. Just a little gripe but big enough to warrant mentioning. Now if only Khyam would make it in cotton!

Bought this tent due to the large living space (4.5m x 4m) and the huge doors at each end. I did think that the doors looked higher than they are on the advertisements and so I have to duck slightly (I'm 6ft) when entering.
The 25mins erection time is unrealistic for the first couple of times but I think that should be achievable now. Striking the tent is great, though I don't bother putting all the protective boots and sleeves on (maybe that's why it takes me less time to put it up now!)
Goes back in the bag easily as previous review states, just remember to close the little feet too as they will still fit in the bag without doing this and not fit in your boot!
The additional canopy works great to prevent condensation. Spent the morning in another well known tent and it was raining condensation inside. Ventilation works well in this tent without making it cold somehow.
Great tent.

What a fantastic tent, cannot believe that from one bag such a large tent appears. Living area is huge (4m x 4m) and sleeping are ideal. Everything except for 4x poles for bedrooms is attached when you unpack. 25 minute erection time a little optimistic, more like 40 minutes, but still the best system I've ever seen. And amazingly, when you fold it away it goes back into the original bag easily. Was £800 when it came out in 2009, can be found new for £400 these days, a bargain if you want quality.
