We are on our 2nd Khyam Yale which is an indication of how impressed we are with this tent. Our first was bought in 2005 and we couldnt resist replacing it with the 2007 model when the price came down to £95 earlier this year. For a couple who want lots of space on holiday then this is the ideal tent. It has the versitility of using it with one, two or no bedrooms at all as the bedrooms are only curtains with a zip down the middle that are attached to the walls and roof of the tent. We never use the curtains leaving us with one big bedsitting area that is very spacious. Being a tunnel tent it is very simple to put up and ours is fully pegged out and guyed in about 20 minutes. It is an inner first tent to erect with a sewn in groundsheet and the double skin and the SIG makes it a cosy tent for camping in early or late season. We also find the built in porch very useful for cooking under when coupled with a windbreak. The quality of the matarials in the 07 model is far superior to the 05 model and the build quality is excellent. Neither tent has leaked or suffered from shoddy workmansip. Sadly, Khyam have now stopped making this model but, if you can still get hold of one then I can recommend them for a couple or small family. We hope to get several more years out of our new tent as I cant imagine what we would replace it with.

Yale is a large family sized 6 person tunnel tent. The inner is pitched first and the flysheet throws over the top. Undoubtedly, Yale is one of the most popular Khyam tents because of its adaptability. Removable panels make bedrooms or living space, and the new large windows make for a light and airy tent. Taped seams including PVC windows. Heavy duty zips on fly doors with waterproof cowl system. Double loop shock cord pegging points. Wind activated bedroom vent cowl system. Front door with zip-out side gussets. Multi-function window on canopy doors. Main Poles: 11mm fibreglass, colour coded, steel ferrules, ring & pin fixing. Porch Poles: 1 set aluminium spring-linked canopy poles. 2 removable dividing walls, zipped privacy curtains. Strong polyester, fully zipped, carry bag with webbing compression straps.
