We purchased this tent of ebay. When we tried at put it up at home the poles would not go in the ends and the canvas attached to pins tore off (very poorly stitched). We contacted the seller who sent us new outer. We finally managed (with a lot of sweat and hard work) to assemble the tent. We didnt get to use it last year but as it is so much bigger and roomier than our other tent we decided to take it to Cromer this past week.
When we got there we managed between two of us to get it erected. Once the poles were in the pins everything was plain sailing, We thought how wonderful it was. Roomy, light etc. However, then the rain started, well all the windows were mesh and the side flaps were only attached by velcro so the wind just lifted it and in came the rain. Was awful, we had to move everything to the centre of the tent. So much for our spacious tent now hey!.
Next morning we dried everything out until the next lot of showers (typical british weather) then the wind got up. Well my poor husband was outside in the wind and rain trying to secure the pegs, there were not enough guy ropes on to hold tent steady in strong winds plus the ones that were there were just tearing as poor stitch work. I was in the tent trying to calm two distressed dogs whilst holding tent up. In the end the whole of the back collapsed. We got it pegged up and settled down for the night only to wake with the end collapsed in on us again. Needless to say the tent was taken down and binned and we had trip to local Argos to get another make.
This tent would be ideal on a dry, non-windy site. However I would not recommend getting one

I have had great holidays in this tent, It is very big and accommodated my family and all the equipment and still left plenty of room.It is very easy to put up and is a great tent as long as you only use it in mid summer, Used recently on a cliff top camp-site and we only lasted 2 days as the tent kept lifting off the ground with the wind bought new pegs to keep it down but had a disagreement with the ground I think, sides kept blown in, If there is no wind it is great, no problems when it was raining.

I was dubious about this tent reviews are quite varied, but just spent 3 days away in rain, wind and sun and I have to say it was great. Lovely big living area plenty of room for kitchen stuff and table with chairs, bedroom is nice and big could easily fit 3 singles and a double bed. Very easy to erect and put away. Carry bag nice and big so no squashing tent back in. Great tent very good value for money. Advice though make sure you know which poles are the shorter ones as they are the ones that go in the front and the back keeping your tent flat to the ground.

I Have just spent two nights with the family in this tent over the August BH in Norfolk
On the plus side, it is large, light weight, and easy to erect (once you have knack) our friends on the next pitch joined us for dinner during the rain and we easily sat 4 adults and 8 kids around two camping picnic tables in the living area. The living accommodation is large.
On the down side, the weather was against us and gales caused many campers to pack up and go home including us.
The tent was lifting off the ground even though I had bought longer pegs and extra guy ropes. ( the soft ground didnt help) However in context many other more expensive tents were also struggling.
I had to stand and admire the Outwell tents which looked rock solid and showed no sign of movement during the storm.
In summary you get what you pay for. This tent is great as long as you don't get gales!

Have just had our first camping trip and I am very impressed with the tent, very easy to pitch and take down and a very large living area and bedroom. It rained whilst camping and never leaked or anything and was also windy and stood it ground. Definitely worth every penny we paid and I think we will get lots of use out of it. Would recommend for a family

Used it for the first time this weekend. The instructions say to match the pole to the sleeve of the same colour - if only they had been marked! It stood up to a heavy downpour that lasted 2 hours and didn't leak which was bonus (bearing in mind that it has a 2000mm head rating). The window flaps are now zipped shut so didn't blow open but the poles still seem too long - sufficient for the front of the tent to sit about 6 inches above the ground. I checked the poles when we had taken it down and there are 2 poles which are shorter by 1cm! The stitching in the bedrooms is ok but hadn't been finished off very well with plenty of threads hanging loose to get stuck in then zips.
Regards wind, it was a bit blowy to say the least but the front of the tent couldn't take it. To guarantee the tent stayed up I had to park the car in front and tie the spare guy lines to the towbar! I guess the soft ground didn't help any. Having re-fixed the tent, I looked around to see if anyone else had suffered the same fate. All the other tents were of better quality and as such, didn't suffer.
On a final note, it has plenty of space and is bright and airy.

They do exactly what they say, easy to put up, ok for the weekend, however you must watch the video very carefully to put it away, practice before you use it on site, once you master it, you will wonder what the problem was in the first place.

Well bought one off ebay. Went camping the tent was difficult to erect and of poor quality. When it rained the tent leaked. The tent does not stand up well to the wind the poles bend in the wind and would not take this tent camping in bad weather. I have used this tent twice now and there is already signs of the stitching coming apart and dont think it will last for many more camping trips. All I can say is you get what you pay for.

This tent is cheap (I paid £50 on eBAY) and not of the highest quality, but it amazingly stood up to 4 nights of high wind and rain and suffered no major damage (1 split pole easily replaceable, some stitching repairs). We did add additional guyropes which probably helped withstand the wind and taped down the inadequate window covers, and we fared no worse than our neighbours in tents costing 10x as much. Having said that, the design seems to cope against high winds by bending under them rather than resisting them, so with a wind blowing onto the back there is only a few guyropes taking all the strain and stopping the rear wall folding down and flattening you in your sleep.
If we had just had heavy rain, I think this tent would have performed admirably, but it just does not cope well with the wind. Having said this, we didn't abandon it in the field - we bought it home, cleaned it up and added some modifications (still cheaper than buying a 'quality' tent). It would probably be a great tent in good weather, light and spacious, easy to pitch. We will probably use it again, perhaps in a more sheltered location next time!

I`ve only used mine for two nights so far but was very pleased with it. My son and I found it very easy to pitch ( though a certain amount of force is required to engage the pins) On close inspection it all seems to be of reasonably good quality for the price.
Only giving it 5 out of 10 ( so far ) as I haven`t experienced it in rainy conditions.
