4 Reviews of the Lingen 6

We got this from my mum who bought it off ebay but never used it. While putting it up several of the pegging loops came off. We were ok with the first holiday in it. It stood up ok to the wind.
The second time we woke up one morning to the middle of the tent covered in water, it had rained through, when its really raining in a tent I cant sleep, so it couldn't have been raining that hard.
It is impossible to get the bag closed when the tent is back in.
We have now bought a VANGO TIGRIS as our first tent which has lasted 6 years was a vango and fantastic.
You get what you pay for.

I too bought one of these from e-bay and had a quick delivery. I also had problems attaching the toggles for the four berth sleeping compartment (quick return to e-bay to get longer loops and extra toggles sorted that out). It is easy to put up and I found it spacious and we have no problem standing up in it. It is great for occasional fair weather use, but I have had to re-proof mine - at the end of it's first season! - after a particularly heavy, and prolonged, downpour revealed leaking seams at the windows and where the toggles of the two berth sleeping compartment are attached to the outer. Big plus is the colour, because it is a pale blue, it stays lighter inside the tent much longer than our darker coloured tents. Don't have small children to camp with, but would recommend this one for it's living space and the two berth sleeping compartment does not have the best headroom, so would be ideal for the little ones, but the four berth compartment would be plenty big enough for two adults and a little one.

We bought this tent on Ebay Delivery was very fast and well packaged.
The tent is a tunnel design with a 4 person bedroom at one end facing a 2 person bedroom at the other end. The groundsheet is separate from the fly tent and covers just the living area. Both bedrooms have their own sewn in groundsheet and have a mosquito net door on the inside of the zipper and a thicker privacy door on the outside of the zipper.
Despite its advertised 1.95m height I (5'11'') was unable to stand up properly at the highest point of the tent.
We were unable to attach the side toggles that hold the bedrooms in place, however this didn't hinder the bedrooms in any way. A resulting positive of this is that there is space down either side of the outsides of the bedrooms for extra storage.
The tent comes with no instructions for erecting and there are none on the internet (that I can find) but it only takes about 45 to 50 mins to fully erect.
As a starter tent it is a simple, cheap and ideal option.
