5 Reviews of the Munich 9

I brought this tent new £80 off Ebay, we went camping twice in it which paid for its use (cheaper than a hotel!), once for 3 nights in Southwold and once for 4 nights in Derbyshire, both in the summer. However, we then tried a third time in late summer by the coast in Cromer, with extreme winds one night we ended up tying the tent to the car so it didnt blow away. We then decided to buy a completely different tent with a fitted groundsheet.

Then tent is lovely and spacious, nice and tall. The quality of the material isn't fabulous and the poles are not massively sturdy (not in heavy winds anyway!). Very easy to put up and take down. Ever since we took it out of the main bag we have never been able to fit it all back in.

Very flimsy, feels like everything will break with first use. Windows seem like they are made of cling film, we managed to tear it on our first outing. This tent Ok for a trial to see if the family enjoy camping. I've been camping all my life (41 years) and wasn't impressed with this tent at all.

We used this tent for the first time and it took 30 mins. The size is more than adequate with great head room and lots of room to move around in wet weather when we had to be inside, we had table and chair set plus four chairs, cooker, two storage stands and still room to spare. The double bedroom ( ment to be for 5 )is huge

The large roof windows give a great view of the rain.

Packing away was easy but we have now bought a larger bag as we could not get it to go back in!

If you want a large tent this one is a winner.

We have used our tent for a year and a half now and have enjoyed every minute of it.

This tent is easy to erect, taking two people approx 20 minutes. We have never had any issues packing this back into its bag again.

The main issue with this tent is that it does not have a sewn in groundsheet. The weather that we have had this year and last year meant that we have often had some major puddles in the central living area. We use hook up and for safety all our electrical equipment had to be raised off the floor. The bedrooms are excellent size, and the height is a bonus, to be able to get dressed in the bedroom without bending down.

Smaller issue is that the tent came with black guide ropes, meaning that the kids and adults alike kept triping over them in the dark. Suggest that they should give nice bright ones in the future.

We love our tent, but I feel the cold so will be looking for another one but this time definitely need to go for a sewn in groundsheet.

I have bought one of these tents and although it was relatively cheap, I was impressed with the room and the easiness of putting it up although we struggled to fit it back into its bag when we had finished. The only drawback that I can find is that there is no ventilation in the main living area of the tent although there is at the back of the bedroom areas and the tent did get rather warm. But overall I was very pleased with my purchase and intend to use it for a family holiday over a week.
