7 Reviews of the Arapaho 4

Bought it on Amazon for just £50.
It is a very good tent, easy to pitch and functional.
Disappointment came from the tent poles, whose segments have kept splitting and therefore required replacement as the split segments would weaken the soundness of the structure.
Hence only 5 stars out of 10.
Comments about height and roomspace are unfair as it clearly says on the tent diagram.

The tent is quite robust yet lightweight. It is near impossible to actually get it back in the bag once used no matter how hard we tried! The sleeping compartments are very small and only just able to fit in an airbed. Not ideal for 2 adults in one pod but fine for children. The 'living area' is reasonable but the height is not great.

We recently went away in this tent with our baby in a travel cot and 5 year old. Luckily it was just for 2 nights as it just wasn't big enough for all 4 of us. If we didn't require all the baby things it would most probably been fine. It withstood really high, the sides shook and it was noisy but we were still standing come morning! The yellow colour inside makes it nice to wake up to in the morning. Easy to pitch (although the back of ours didn't quite look right this time!) The guy ropes on the tent take a bit of figuring out. I think the sleeping areas are pretty small I woke up very claustrophobic one night and had a bit of a panic attack!
We shall use this tent when the children are older for a short break or just for the two of us but whilst we need to lug travel cots, nappies, milk around with us we'll stick with a larger tent.

Bought this mainly for a family of 2adults and two teens for quick weekend camps. Very pleased with it as it suits the purpose although it would be a bit small for longer trips. Has seem some very bad rain and stood up well. The sleeping pods would not fit some of the more modern double airbeds. I like the bathtub groundsheet as it is easy to remove and pack separately when wet. Good value for money.

Bought tent last year and just recently used. Did take some getting up , and the sleeping area wasn't roomy for a couple. Would be ok for kids. Not sure would recommend for a first time camping due to the difficulties in pitching, and we have had to send it back for a zip repair !
Living space in the centre was roomy enough for the 3 of us and did like the ground sheet but it did only cover the living area not the bedrooms. We may use it again or look for something different .

I spent a lot of time researching which tent to buy - and chose the right one! It suited my son and I perfectly, each having plenty of room, and when we had a visitor there was still plenty of room. Living area is large enough for us ll to sit with room to play cards etc when too cold to be outside. Luckily we didn't have rain until the last night - but the waterproofing stood up well. It was very easy for me and my 12yr old son to erect and dismantle - we did this in 15 mins when we moved site as it could all be left intact if folded with care - ok we didn't manage to get it neat enough to go into the bag but it was raining!

We find this a roomy tent although the sleeping areas are a bit small. The living area is good with awning poles and the ground sheet pegs into the tent to avoid water getting into it at night. One positive feature is the level of water resistance- this is pretty good and believe me, we've tested it!
The tent is about 15' long altogether and attractive looking although can be quite a job to pitch. The poles are of a superior quality and the material is very strong. It packs easily into a small bag and on the whole represents excellent value for money!
