2 Reviews of the Findhorn 4

We gave up camping in 2012 and sold our tent and most of our kit. This year (2014) we decided we missed it too much and had enough kit to go basic camping and only needed a tent but having been flooded out several times we wanted a good tent. This is it! We are a couple and there is plenty of room in the bedroom for 2 big campbeds and a cupboard. If you were on airbeds you would fit 4 in there easily. In the main area of the tent there is plenty of room for storage and sitting if necessary although we didn't need to sit inside the tent at all as we had glorious weather! There is headroom throughout the tent which is great. The tent is very easy to pitch and take down and easy to pack away as well. The only niggle we have is the insect net - if you zip that up you have to unzip it to unzip the main door so I will be adding some velcro to keep it out of the way.

We only had one shower so not sure how waterproof it is but fingers crossed.

All in all, very pleased and looking forward to spending a couple of weeks in it next year.

I would recommend this tent to anyone

After much searching and research I decided to buy the lichfield Findhorn 4. I needed a good size tent with enough room to stand up in but it must be able to be carried on a motorcycle as I travel to many race events. I also needed to be able to pitch the tent alone and in any weather conditions and this tent has been perfect. First test was to pitch the tent. Easily done by myself by pegging the rear of the ground sheet and then putting the poles in position and securing the guys. First attempt about 15 minutes. Second test two weeks in the Isle of Man. Easily managed to put all the gear on a sports motorcycle and pitched in about 10 minutes. The Manx weather tested the tent too with some sunshine, heavy rain and high winds, the findhorn took in its stride. This is classed as a weekend tent for 4 people but two would be very comfy for two weeks or so. If I had to find faults it would only be the access when wet. You can get a small amount of water coming in as you open the tent and a little more ventilation would reduce condensation or heat in good conditions but again this is not a major problem. I invested in extra poles to provide a sun shade and this worked a treat and I managed use the front for cooking. I owned a lichfield tent years ago and the first impressions is this is made to the same high standards. I also spoke to another couple on the campsite who had the same tent and they highly recommended the Findhorn 4. Excellent tent.
