I last used mine Easter 2011. Its held up well in the blustering night winds. As previous members have said ignore the instructions as they're confusing. There's only 3 poles so easy enough to work out. Peg out back, insert soles then pull up and peg front. We managed to fit 2 double inflatable beds in for 2adults and 3 kids. Detachable groundsheet was a pain. Great big windows though in living area and can easily fit table 4 chairs and our cooker and heater plus storage boxes with our essentials. Only downside is the sloping doorway as mentioned by members. Compact and lightweight we love our tent but about to purchase an Outwell Toronto 600 for a little more living space

Purchased this tent for £56 brand new (Argos old stock) found it fairly easy to erect and pack away, angle on front door is to steep(inside of tent gets soaked when opened in rain, even with rain canopy on)

Stood up well in strong winds,

Really a good sized three berth if you use air beds, one major problem is that mine let in water from most of the seams, and after a night and whole day of rain I was getting short of bowls to catch the water.

Looking through the other reviews I believe this is a one off,the manufacturer also confirms that they have not had any reports of leaks.

Bought this tent for my son and I - Perfect sleeping and living space for the two of us. I think we could fit a third in, if needed without too much of a problem.

Loved the design apart from the sloping door. This was a real pain, especially when trying to open in the rain or first thing in the morning (condensation). Hair ended up wet and blood rushed to my head where I had to lean into the door area to reach the zip at ground level!

Definitely does not take 15 minutes to put up! More like 90 minutes. It is relatively easy when you get the hang of it, but ignore the instructions, they're hopeless.

Just got back from camping last weekend and used this tent, kept the water out fine as we had heavy rain but didn't like it because of the sloping door,i would not recommend this 2 anyone, groundsheet awkward to fit properly as-well,it says its a 5 man but there weren't much space for 2 adults and a 3 year old, canopy bit fiddly as-well and you have to tie the poles up to something so it don't fall down which took me and my sister a while to do,held well in the wind as we used delta pegs, definitely going to buy a much bigger tent if we go camping next year

I bought this tent as a cheap quick fix, when finding myself suddenly without a weekend tent for 2, while being a little short of money. It is certainly very quick and easy to erect for one person without any help. I don't recommend leaving the inner tent attached as the previous reviewer does though, as I split a couple of the fibre-glass poles when erecting it this way. May be the extra strain on the poles caused this. It doesn't take too long to attach the inner afterwards. Though I prefer a tent with a sewn-in-groundsheet, the riser groundsheet has provided adequate draught-proofing and my tip for installing it is to clip it in before fully tensioning the tent, or even leaving it attached when packing away.

It's been quite a few years since I have used a tent as low as 2000mm HH and was surprised how waterproof it was. The roof fabric is the tautest I have ever come across and when it rained it sounded like the beating of a drum. I love the windows on both sides, but would have liked a few more mesh panels, especially on the entrance, as you would be able to leave the door open when you are away from the tent, with the entrance protected by the separate canopy. A cosy little tent for 2, with an unusual shape and I have now just about got used to the bright green colour.

I bought one of these in the summer (2009) as I wanted something quick light and roomy for solo camping. I must say it ticks all the boxes. Easy to pitch and once up I simply leave the inner attached and fold it away with the outer. I agree that the groundsheet is fiddly - didnt bother with it after the first time - and also agree that the extreme door slope is a bit of a stoop, but I love the porch canopy that comes with it that can be adjusted according to the wind/rain direction.

I would say 5 berth is optimistic (more like 3, 2 with comfort) and the quality of the fabric isn't the best, but I would thoroughly recommend this tent .

I bought this tent last summer and there are things I like about it and a couple of drawbacks. Mainly, it's looks cool, and no one else on the campsite has a tent that has weird angles and that is so deliciously different. It's quite easy to put up, as the previous reviewer has said, simply peg out the back two corners first. Having already put the poles in place, it's just a matter of hoisting it up like a sail and pegging down the front two corners as well. (I do this on my own usually).

My advice to myself and others is always buy a tent that holds more people than you need it to. In my case, I have three (one adult, two teens) and one dog. This tent was perfect for us. I had a double readybed on one side and a single ready bed on the other, leaving a strip for walking on and the clothes bag at the end. I loved the sleeping area's full height which was great for pulling on my jeans in the morning. My other tent is a vis a vis which has the sloped sleeping compartments, and I hate the lack of standing space when getting dressed.

I love the profusion of windows which give me a great one eighty opportunity to nosy at all the comings and goings of campsite life.

I had one weekend solo camping (well, I had the dog with me) and I got this tent up by myself. I'm 5'4 and of the female variety and this didn't really pose any problems. My one mistake was to put in the front corners first, and since I was camping along the edge of the campsite, I ran out of space (even though I thought I'd left plenty) at the back. Pitch the back first.

The drawbacks - the separate living area groundsheet which is fiddly to install (I didn't bother with it on the weekend that was forecast and got glorious weather).

The extreme slope of the front door which means you have to get down on your knees to either open or close it. I could have done with a pole with a hook on the end.

In conclusion, now that tents come with pre-attached sleeping compartments and groundsheets I do wish I'd waited. I would like to buy the vango Icarus 500, but it's hard to justify another purchase. I still think that I'll get plenty of use out of this tent, when I'm looking for something that takes up a lot less space than a tunnel tent. For me, it's a great compromise between comfort and space, whilst not taking up too much ground space.

I started looking for reviews of this tent as I am thinking of buying one, came across the above and felt moved to respond. I find over 4 hours to pitch anything short of a circus tent a bit extreme. Tunnel tents of which this is a variant are very easy to pitch and you did`nt say why this tent was so much trouble. Next time try putting pegs in the back corners, insert pole/ poles then take front corners and walk backwards and peg when the tent is the correct shape.

The gap around the bottom is a very common way of ensuring adequate ventilation and you will find this on many tents. I agree with you on the 5 man bit, nearly all tent makers have very optimistic ratings. Yes you could sleep 5 without airbeds but nobody but backpackers sleeps on the ground any more.

Oh dear not the best tent ever bought

Manufacturee thinks you can erect in 5 mins maybe if there's 15 of you all with a iq over 500 each to understand instructions

4 1/2 hours first time got it down to 1 1/2 after 5 attempts. Tent not too bad when up, no leaks but a 4 in gap all round bottom no matter how much you adjust it.

Very tight on space due to very sloping door way no way 5 man as stated ok for 2 .
