5 Reviews of the Yacuma 6 + 4

As I was a 1st time camper we didn't want to pay a lot for a tent in case it wasn't for me. We bought this tent on e bay got it for a great price. The tent had only been used once and was in mint condition. Loved the tent, easy to put up had no instructions but we watched the video on you tube. The tent itself has a really big living area, high enough to stand up in and the bedrooms as well. We had a monsoon one night and the tent stood up well although we did loose the gazebo that night. My only gripe would be it doesn't have a sewn in ground sheet, it went very cold at night and was very draughty. I loved camping, cant wait to do it again but we are going to invest in a tent with a sewn in ground sheet. I know I wont have any trouble getting my money back on the Lichfield. But a great camping experience.

I bought this tent recently, I have a few problems with the tent the first one being the instructions, these are quite poor. The next and last problem is the ground sheet I found this very hard to get the right position and kept blowing up due to the wind. The living space is very good and the storage pockets in the bedrooms are very handy to have.

We have just got back from our first camping trip and we had brought this tent, we put it up in are garden before we went and the instructions were not really that great especially for first time campers. We got to the campsite and me and my husband managed to get the tent up quite quickly under an hour. We had rain and bad winds whilst we were there and the tent held up great, we are so glad we brought this tent and cant wait for are next camping trip!

I took my 7 year old twins for a weeks camping at Durdle door, and bought this tent. We did have a half hearted attempt to put it up in the back garden before we left, but it's quite big and so we couldn't peg it all out.

For a first timer, the instructions really are too vague, and we had to work out things like the importance of the square webbing base / footprint ourselves. They really need to get a novice camper to help write the instructions, they sort of assume that you already know what you are doing. Once at the campsite, between the three of us we got this tent up in pretty gusty winds in under 2 hours, which was very good going when you have two 7-year olds 'helping'. We made sure that the tent was square; that the ground sheet was INSIDE the outer layer in all places; and that the guylines were all well tensioned.

We then had the most dreadful week of torrential rain and gale force winds and I am delighted that this tent stayed rock solid for the whole week. Whilst the wind whipped and cracked around us at all hours of the day and night, we remained dry, warm, and snug for the whole week. We only had one instance of water in the tent and it turned out that one of the kids had put some boots on the edge of the groundsheet which pushed it out under the tent skin, thus leaving an entry point for the rain. Quickly resolved, no further probs.

Great room inside, the interior rooms are nicely ventilated and very well made. All in all a fantastic tent and I am looking forward to many more camping holidays in it. I also paid around £140 for it, so it's worth shopping around for the best price.

This is our first tent and we used it for the first time during the May bank holiday. My 17 year old son was the tent putter-upper (!) and found it very easy to put up. One thing we would note is that the main area should be erected first, then the ground sheet added before everything is pegged out, so that the groundsheet stays snug and straight.

Held up to pouring rain and wind, and was extremely spacious and comfortable.
