2 Reviews of the Peakland Bamford
By: KarennJames Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2003 Rating:
We had this Peakland Bamford as a first multi pod tent, it slept 6 in three pods off a main living area, had a fibreglass pole and key system and no sewn in ground sheet. Very draughty and not room enough for me to stand upright in and I am only 5,4'. Cap on the roof was apain if you forgot to hook it up before erecting the rest of the body of tent. Three colour poles Red, Green, Yellow for the pods and 2 x Black ones for the living/main pod
A good light weight tent easy enough for one person to erect.
Nice area off the main living area which we used to store shoes and stuff we weren't using, it had windows so you could see out and they let in light.
Never let us down and we had some nice times with it. Still have it in the store cupboard, because if all the family inc daughter and boyfriend et al camping we would use this one as an extra sleeping area.

We bought this tent 5 yrs ago but didn't use it for a holiday until this year. It is a roomy tent and there was room for 2 adults & 4 kids and a large living area but not enough room for kitchen stuff. The layout is a living area with 3 sleeping pods branching off, the pods are big enough for double airbeds but the person on the outside of the pod gets the tent ceiling in their face so very claustrophobic! the opening to the tent is on a slope with the zips opening from the bottom so you get wet getting in & out. The positive points are that despite torrential rain for hrs on end the tent remained dry with no leaks inside. It is easy to pitch, we had the flysheet up in 20 mins and then inside to hang the pods. The tent hasn't put us off camping, we've already booked 2wks in France again next year, but we will be buying a tent with more standing space for kitchen equipment.
The Peakland would be an ideal cheap buy for groups going to a festival or weekends away.
