2 Reviews of the Relum Canaria 4
By: Dmsplat Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2001 Rating:
My Canaria 4 was £26 from eBay. Aside from a couple of minor marks on the canvas (that would probably clean off with a bit of water and a soft brush), it is in pristine condition!
I am fairly fit and around 6' and (without rushing too much) can put the tent up in around 30 minutes (incl. Pegging and inner).
The only reason I haven't given 10 stars is because this is really only good for two people (or maybe three at a push).
As a weekend tent for a couple, the Canaria 4 is ideal - although the Canaria 4 - K (with a small kitchen extension - as in the grey/maroon picture used, above). I like it a lot and won't be getting rid any time soon.

What a fantastic little tent. Bought her off ebay for the princely sum of £55, what a bargain.
I have to say that there is no way to fit 4 people into this tent. We have an aerobed active and it has to go in the bedroom sideways as there is not enough room the other way around (Hubby has to climb over me to get out!)
The tent itself is in fantastic condition, no visible fading or anything. The living area is small, but we unhook the front of the inner during the day and push it back a couple of feet to make more room.
We used it for a quick one-nighter 1st October to see what it was like, then again for our Halloween meet, where it poured down, and the tent let in not one drop of water. Canvas is so much quieter and so much warmer that poly.
We managed to warm up a stew inside the tent on a suitcase stove when it rained, but no real room to cook more that that. To be fair, we usually cook outside anyway.
Easy to erect and to pack, and the canvas is small enough to dry out at home. If there are just two of you and you get the opportunity to buy one, go for it!
