1 Reviews of the Siberian Red 133
By: Mecadsk Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2010 Rating:
Worst tent I have ever owned!
Bought with great excitement about finally having a tent that would meet the needs of family and friends. That is where the excitement ended!
The tent itself was relatively easy to erect, however, the groundsheet did not fit properly. The overall design left the bedroom compartments baggy no matter how you pitched them. This meant that they sagged against the bedroom inners and water came through (infact, to peg out two of the inners properly would have meant that they would have stuck out through the bottom of the tent.
The positioning of the door zip meant that when inside the tent, it could not be done up completely, and the slightest bit of rain resulted in big puddles at the entrance.
When the wind blew, the tent inflated like a balloon and then sucked back in again creating more water ingress issues.
The top of the roof is mesh with a separate cover that did not stay on particularly well and leaked water in the rain.
General water tightness was awful and all I can say is thank god for Fabsil! I should have returned the tent immediately, but thought I'd stick with it.
Finally gave up this weekend and trashed the thing when one of the pole seams ripped when putting it up. (3rd time used!)
Never again!
