1 Reviews of the Wenzel Great Basin
By: Ratty Reason: I've used one Made in: 2014 Rating:
The tent comes supplied in a smart bag and in the instructions are sewn in to the inside of the bag to avoid them getting lost.
It is a simple design of tent meaning it is very easy to put up, I managed this on my own, although it would be easier with two people, but having two people is not a deal breaker.
Simple two cross poles to create the main shape and a further two for the bedroom pods. The fifth and final pole is used on the canopy to raise it from the tent and doors.
The tent has a fully sewn in groundsheet and the bedroom areas are separated by a partition, they are not separate pods, but do allow privacy as required.
Each bedroom pod has pockets for your keys , mobile phone etc.
There is a hanging point in the centre of the tent for a lantern / light to hang.
Separate fly mesh on the doors allow for extra light to be let in whilst keeping those pesky bugs out.
The tent went up in around 15 minutes and back down again in less than that and it all went easily back in the bag.
This is a good tent if you are after a large tent for a reasonable price. I would say sleeping 10 is pushing it, 6 would be better and more comfortable and still leave space your bags, chairs, tables, and other camping gear.

Manufacturer's Description
One of Wenzel's largest, most spacious tents if you're looking for extra room. The Great Basin base is 18 ft. x 10 ft. x 76" center height. With Dutch "D" style doors, 4 mesh windows and roof vents for ventilation, you'll stay comfortable throughout the night. You'll stay nice and dry with the welded polyethylene floor and removable seam-sealed fly, which includes a ridge pole that creates an awning over the front door and back window. The shock corded, multi-diameter, fiberglass poles with fast feet system make for easy setup and gives you more room by creating more head room and living space. Two removable divider curtains with "I" zippers creates three separate rooms--giving each member of the family some privacy. Also includes gear loft and two convenience pockets, an E-port for electrical cords, and pre-attached guy ropes for added stability.
