I didn't know I could improve on near perfection.
Our Arkansas 5 is a nice size for the 3 of us, but after buying the awning it adds a whole new dimension. Comes with a bath tub ground sheet that attaches to the original tent and it even has zips at the front so you can flatten the ground sheet so you don't trip up getting through the very large door. Masses of windows its so light and airy you'd think you was in your own conservatory! We used this space for living and cooking in and had plenty of room for storage. The drying rails became a place to hang the coats and underneath was DS bike.
As with most awnings its attached to the last pole and there is a lap that goes over the roof of the tent. The only problem was none of us was tall enough to get the flap over the pole. We had to lower the last pole pull the awning over it and then guy the section out again. Was worried if it would leak but because the pole sleeves are some kind of rubber over them - the awning wasn't going anywhere.
Only down side is that you have to really crouch down to get to the zip due to the slope of the front (no good if you've had one too many).
For us though its prefect.

The awning for the front of the Arkansas attaches to the tent with clips and can be completely openor closed. It comes with a fully seam-sealed flysheet and a detachable bathtub groundsheet, and is easy to pitch. With their complementary contours, panorama windows, colours and fabric, the awning and a Arkansas tent form a very eye-catching unit.
