We've had one outing in our tent, and just packing for the 2nd. Upgraded from a Vango and yes, I can see why the Outwell is more expensive! The material feels good quality, the zips feel made to last and once up the tent is solid, no movement at all! Love the spacious living area, plenty of room for the whole family and the panoramic room is great for enjoying a cold cider at the end of a busy day, as well as acting as a kitchen area!

The reason I've not given 10/10 is the sheer weight and size of the tent. We now have to take 2 cars (plus roofbox) and this is mainly down to the tent taking up a large part of the car. Not sure this is something that Outwell can change in any way but something for perspective purchasers to be aware of.

We went for the Georgia as we needed 3 separate bedrooms, and the Vermont XLP was out of our price range.

We own the tent, footprint, carpet and awning (although the awning hasn't yet been used)

My tip for setting up, don't follow the instructions on the bag! Google putting up a tunnel tent and follow the principle set out in the video. Much quicker and less likely to end in divorce :-)

In summary, we love it and think it is worth every penny!

We purchased this tent from GO Outdoors to replace our 2010 Outwell Oakland XL, as we had outgrown it. We did a test pitch and noticed the groundsheet had been poorly manufactured so returned it. Go Outdoors agreed the groundsheet condition was poor and replaced the tent. We did not have time for a second test pitch and so went on with out 1st camp. Upon pegging down the sides I discovered that one of the pegging loops wasnt stitched together properly and had split half way down. Our second camping trip was a couple of weeks later. On this trip one of the anchor pegging points at one of the corners snapped. It was windy but not gale force (this tent is supposed to withstand up to force 10 gale). I used to consider Outwell a premium brand and so willing to pay that little extra.

This experience does not fill me with confidence in the brand, especially taking into account this tent is from their premium range, and so costs a lot of money. This is a real shame as the tent as a whole is ideal for us. Having the bedrooms separated gives extra privacy when camping with friends. The space between the two rear bedrooms can be closed off to form a changing area, and even features a hanging rail. The forward bedroom can be removed revealing 2 more windows and giving extra living area space. The carpet which can be bought separately is made to go under the forward bedroom, meaning when the bedroom is removed the extra space created is carpeted. Ventilation is very good with vents, and door mesh. Pitching was easy, the most time consuming part is the pegging as there are so many.

Having the porch is really handy and its a decent size. This can be opened up fully by rolling up the door and side panels next to it. There are also poles provided to prop up the door to create an extra canopy. We had consistent heavy rain and the tent faired up well. Will hopefully get the 2 damaged pegging points sorted and have a good few years enjoying this tent. A great, versatile, good looking tent let down by manufacturing issues. Come on Outwell, sort out your quality control!

We've just come back from our inaugural trip in this tent. We bought it to replace our leaky old tent after a rainy trip! We wanted to downsize.Then we saw the Georgia, coowee! We got the footprint too, ideal for keeping the tent base dry and then we only have to hang the footprint out when we get home.

The reason it's a 9/10 is for the fun we had pitching it without practicing in the garden first.We nearly fell out when we couldn't get the poles in the spike things! However, after a little rest and grumble the first pole went in, from then on it went up easily enough, with only a slight bend being put in the awning pole by me, don't know my own strength!

The pegs are naff, stick to the metal or storm pegs.

Plenty of windows and plenty of zips for our baby to play with, now we have to try to stop him leaning on the fly screens!

Unbelievably easy to de-pitch and it went back in the bag first time without fighting with it. Poles in a separate bag.

Plenty of room in the living space in case the 'summer' weather returns and I think it will stand up to the rain well as the material is taught when pitched to allow run off.

Would recommend, but practice putting it up first!

We love it!

We got footprint, tent and carpet.

For a family of three this tent is ideal - Baby Billy is almost five and any camping trip involves a car mat to play with cars at half five in the morning when Mummy Bear and Daddy Bear need a little longer in bed, so the room available in this tent is fabulous. Although it is classed as a five man tent, for comfort I would suggest four people maximum.

The bigger bedroom fits a double bed with room to walk around it. The two single rooms are good and long with room for storage at one end if you use a standard single air bed. We folded the front single bedroom out of the way in order to give us more living space. This reveals two more windows and lets in more light, although if you were to leave it up it would still be quite spacious. All the bedrooms have little low down windows so you can see what the weather is up to. The storage pockets are accessed in the rear hall, so no organised clutter all on view.

There is room for our kitchen stand on one side of the porch along with all the usual bits and bobs. On the other side there is room for shoes on and off. The porch doors have a variety of folding up combinations so you can have a small door open or all three.

There is room for table and chairs either in the main living space or the porch.

The rear hallway is a tremendous advantage with room for cases/wardrobes etc and also room to stand up and get dressed/undressed, without air beds getting in the way.

The tinted windows let in lots of light but also afford you plenty of privacy too. The zips mean you can have them at whatever height you want and they are quick to open and close.

Ventilation is excellent. Wide doors at the front. There is a door to the rear and on to the side both with fly mesh. Most of the windows have vents above them too. These did make a difference.

This tent is ideal for the Billy family.

Two small gripes - hence 9/10.

1. The panoramic porch requires some care and attention with pegging so that the groundsheet fits in properly (although we were pitching for the first time on a 'nose' up gradient).

2. The roof and side poles can be slotted together incorrectly. We did struggle with a rather strange angle with the first one and then quickly realised our mistake.

So far only three nights, but we hope to have many more. Light and spacious. Thank you Outwell
