We`ve used this tent 4 or 5 times now and Love it, easy to pitch, 20mins max, no faffing about with bedrooms as they go up with the tent, no annoying draughts and plenty of light from the big windows. Only drawback is we`d like a side extension but being a sample tent cant get a Blue one by Outwell, any ideas?

We love this tent, easy to pitch and no annoying draughts or escape routes for Tasha the pup! Plenty of Head Room, Light and Airy and looks Great too! The only downside for us is the fact that ours is the Blue Sample tent so we cant get any extras for it. We`d love a Side Extension to fit and though we`ve seen a few that may fit I`d like to hear from anyone who might have found one!

Just a follow up to this tent. I wonder why they stopped making it after just 2 seasons. Then it struck me. It suffers terribly with condensation, even with both vents fully open. We went to use it 4 weeks after our first use & mould was everywhere. My advice, stay away from this particular tent.

We love this tent, loads of room and no leaking. We use it with the porch extension which gives us a cooking space. This is the only bit that suffers from accumulation of condensation in still conditions.

No problems so far despite camping in foul conditions in Scotland last summer on its first outing.

It took a few goes to get used to pitching it 'just right' (to my husband's satisfaction,) but once we had the knack it sits beautifully.

Well thought out design features makes pitching, striking and repacking simple.

Adding the carpet this year made a big difference to comfort and feel and the weight of it helped the groundsheet to lie well and prevented billowing if the wind got underneath.

I agree with last comment; airbed for two fills the sleeping compartment so to get anyone else in it's standard mats only. We sleep 2 at each end and enjoy the luxury of the space - until the children grow and fill up more I suppose.

Love the large central area and the big 'window' panels making it a practical base in bad weather.

The porch is a big asset in poor weather as it gives you a bit of 'faffing about' space for sorting out wet clothes and such before getting into the tent proper.

Having said that we were lucky and have had 3 weeks camping in it this year and loved every minute.

Would recommend this tent and our friends have also been impressed.

You can always get bigger and better I suppose but not for the price and any larger you will be too big for standard size pitches on some sites. Mind you we did have to get a roof box to accommodate it when we have all our other gear to take.

Shoddy, didn't sit right, felt like it was going to take off in the wind. Leaked at the seams and zips, groundsheet was too tight and felt like to much pressure would make it rip. Yes it does have a very large communal area but there are no storage pockets there, only in the bedrooms and they aren't enough. Also got lots of condensation inside, overall just terrible

This tent is superb. There are four of us, two at each end. Huge living area, windows, fly sheets. It stood up to a hurricane in the lake District whilst other tents collapsed. Drawback, not being able to cook in it, so during bad weather (which happens when we go away) you have to eat out! Oh, well I am on holiday!

Good family tent (2+2).Easy to pitch.2 adults.Recommend the separate ground sheet/carpet and extension.Only Issue I found was more ventilation required. Condensation does build up within the inner room. But can be sorted careful airing routine. Extension is a must.Lots of light. Suggest buy a set of metal pegs as backup as plastic pegs may not be suitable for hard ground services. Treat Zips with respect as side ventilation portals tend to snag. Overall very pleased with my vis-a-vis tent

Just bought one. Have been eyeing them up on the internet for months and unable to find one pitched so we just took a punt and bought one. Am not disappointed in any way. It was easy to pitch, will be even easier next time, loads of usable space, lovely floor to ceiling windows, mesh on all openings (although quality of the mesh could be better). The hardest thing was getting the air out - fold to the middle we have now discovered. Would be great for up to 4, wouldn't like to try to cram 6 in!

After last year’s abortion of a tent (Vango Venture 500) that was recommended to me from a so called “specialist camping store” I decided to bin it. I spent a while looking for a new one that had space, easy pitching, quality and be able to stand moderate wind & rain. I picked up the Outwell Iowa L from Go Outdoors in a winter clearout for £92! With only 5 poles, 26 tent pegs and a pitch as one ten/ground sheet/bedrooms my wife & I pitched this in 15 minutes without argument & was fully pitched with cords & interior bedding & camping stuff all in under 40 minutes. Even though it’s meant to sleep 6 people we needed to have the space & comfort for just the 2 of us & used the second bedroom as storage/dressing area. A King size high airbed fitted snugly into one of the bedrooms, in which I could see that it would be tight with 3 single airbeds if a larger family was going to use it, so a family of 4 could live easily & comfortably for 1-2 weeks

A lot of other people on the site had very similar Outwell tents that had the footprint groundsheet & internal carpet which I didn’t really need this year, but looking at a new friends we made one it was very relaxing, warm & comfortable. A good cable slot in the middle made our electric hook up easy to access & a Velcro cable management to the middle top of the tent made out lighting tidy away & safe. The living area was a good size & we fitted 4 chairs, table, kitchen stand & icebox along with a dog bed and had space to move.

Only thing that I didn’t like and was missing was the 2 x steel poles for the flysheet/canopy door but the separate canopy awning is something that I will be looking for in the winter sales. We did have a few days of wet & extremely wet weather in Weymouth, Dorset and the tent was warm, safe & dry and with 2 big full height PVC windows it let a load of light inside during the day to help combat with condensation that you always get in tents. With it being an pitch as one tent there was no draughts from side breezes. Packing the tent away was a joy. After cleaning & drying down it had a nice touch of Velcro straps for the guy lines to be neatly tied up, then was stripped down, folded inside itself about six times & rolled up to fit inside the kitbag which was 1/3 larger than it really should be so compressing it down was made easy. We got all of this done again in around 30 – 40 minutes.

We enjoyed using this tent & other family members want to borrow it after seeing how good it stood up to the British weather. I do recommend this tent for a small family of 3-4

As first time campers we have nothing to compare it to,but it was easy to put up,even for us. Could do with the extension though, rain can come in the doors when opening them. Took about 20mins to erect, no swearing, at least I don't think I did. For £150 you cant go wrong.
