7 Reviews of the Jersey M
By: Clive99 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2008 Rating:
We own 2 Jersey M tents for weekend use and are very pleased with them. Fast and easy to take down. Only criticism is one let in a little rain through the doorway during a wet and windy night - to solve this we always pitch the tent with the doors away from the wind and have never had any problems since. We keep a towel for the doorway to mop any rain droplets which can drip off the outer and come in when you open the door if the outer is wet. Would be nice to upgrade to the versions with a small porch though not sure if the inner tent size suffers.

My first tent and it's brilliant, My 8-year-old daughter can pop it up in two seconds flat and then it just takes a few minutes to put in the guy ropes. It has an inner compartment (permanently attached), so no condensation problems. It's extremely roomy for two adults and their gear and would easily fit 3 adults, but it would be snug. Packing up the tent is very quick, once you get the hang of it. It has handy little velcro loops to hold the guy ropes in place for packing. The luminous guy ropes are great in the dark. My only criticism is that if it rains and you open the front entrance, some rain can drip directly into the sleeping compartment because of the sloping front. Also, as others have pointed out, the packed tent forms a very large circle, which is hard to fit into a small car, and certainly couldn't be carried on a bike!

Bought this on a whim in the sales for ฃ44. The intention was to use it for short weekend breaks, either alone, or with my son.
It is a truly fantastic tent. Build quality seriously makes me think I will buy a 'big' Outwell one day as our main holiday tent. It simply oozes quality, from the strong guys to the design and quality of the stitching.
Packing it away is genuinely a doddle after looking at how to do it on Youtube. I love packing it away when people are watching as they always seem to think it will be a nightmare. But in fact it folds away in seconds much to the astonishment of bystanders!
Very roomy inside for 2 people, room at sides of a double airbed for storage and pockets/ loops to store stuff and hang lights from. Very well thought out.
Great tent, and due to its sturdiness I intend using it right through the winter so our Camping Season never ends now!
Only small negative for some people is that the disc it packs away to is almost a metre in diameter. But apart from that I really cant find fault.

We bought this as a pup tent for our children who decided they didn't want to sleep in our tent any more. We were a little concerned that it would be considered to big for a pup tent but we haven't had any comments yet. In fact it has to be one of the easiest tents to put up and down taking no more than 5 minutes. It takes up so little room we are going to use it for weekend and one night trips when we don't have loads of gear. Only down side is there's no porch area (however small it would be useful). Thoroughly recommend for the best retail price around this year.

Bought for wedding as same cost as BnB and what a good buy, We feel this is OK for 2 for weekends etc. Survived the rain and wind in Devon in May. Room for double air bed and bags either side which is good as so many '2' man tents don't allow for gear.
The jersey S is OK for one person. Plus bags. We love em!

Just love this tent. I use it for myself and my 2 boys, having spent many happy hours in it. Its easy to put up and peg out, meaning more time enjoying ourselves. There is one door with an integral window with a cover over. Inside is a mesh door, which allows for good ventilation. There are 2 pockets inside to keep smaller items in. The tent has stood up to strong winds and rain with no problems. Downsides - although the size of the tent when packed is not particularly big, I find it awkward to transport in my smallish car along with the children and other camping equipment. The packing away of the tent took a bit of practice, and I have just about mastered it after quite a few trips, but unfortunately the pole that goes round the back at the bottom snapped on our last stay(could be something to do with my technique!) It could do with a slightly bigger porch area to keep wet boots, etc in. I would recommend this tent.

Having owned two Jersey S tents, one for my husband and one for myself, my husband was too tall to be able to sit up in it so I ordered a Jersey M for him. It is absolutely fantastic, easy to put up, really roomy for the two of us. We have camped in sun rain and snow and love it. Up in seconds and very stable.

Manufacturer's Description
The manufacturer has advised that this model has been discontinued.
The amazingly versatile and practical Jersey M can sleep up to 3 persons or provide plenty of space for two. A great choice for meeting basic camping needs, this version has a front window, neon guy lines, a mesh door, and excellent ventilation properties. A Jersey M is light in weight, easy to transport, and takes only two seconds to pitch. In short, a model that focuses squarely on convenience, reliable service and fun.
