A fantastic tent, very well made and spacious, its very sturdy but bear in mind this comes at a price i.E. It is rather heavy and bulky however its worth it. I love the built in fly mesh and the way the windows can be rolled down to give the impression of being outside when the weathers not on your side.

Great family tent ideal for a family (2 adults, 2 children). Very roomy with great head height. Withstood strong winds and rain with no problems. We bought the tent, foot print and carpet which we would recommend. Didn't bother with the extension as this is a big tent anyway, the two side doors are great for getting air circulation and the covered porch was a handy place to locate the porta loo, essential with two young children! Only criticism would be that the Zips did tend catch the material if not carefully used. Very happy with our purchase and would definitely recommend especially as the price has come down, we paid less than £400.

Purchased the tent from Go Outdoors, Coventry.
Researched for almost 8 months and after seeing the 600p up in the store, decided to buy on the day along with foot-print, porch and roof protector.
Finally got to use the tent On Spring Bank Holiday and boy were we glad we bought it! Took 2 people 35 mins to erect, but I think with a bit of practice, one person can do it in 30 - 45 mins.
Family absolutely loved it! This was the first of many practice runs before we head to France and we couldn't fault it. The tent attracted admiring looks and positive comments.
We experienced heavy rain the first night, clear blue sky's with beaming sun for two days and strong winds over night. The tent felt positively safe through it all and well vented in the sun to keep it cool.
There was so much space we used the main part for dining and the porch for relaxing in the sun.
Simple to dismantle and pack, just do the reverse. We're first time campers and found it a doddle to erect and dismantle. First time roll up into bag.
Small cosmetic gripe, is that GO don't do the 600p porch to match the finish on the tent. Just a little thing!

This is perfect. We used it 2 hours after buying it, The quality is perfect, Putting it up is fool proof, The space is huge, If you want a tent that will be still perfect in years to come buy this one,.We have been camping for about 30 years and we have owned lots of tents, But this is certainly the best we have ever had, Simply the best tent on the market.

We splashed out on a new Montana 6p, having previously owned a very second-hand Montana 6. The price has come down from RRP of £800 shown above and we bought ours for £520.
The best thing about this tent is the amount of space it gives you. Not only does it sleep four very comfortably (6 would be a bit of a squish though), the living area is huge, and there is plenty of headroom right to the sides of the tent. In fact, there is almost too much headroom. My wife finds it difficult to reach the top of the front door to roll it up, and once the fly screen is zipped into place, despite being 6' tall, I can't reach it either.
There are various storage pods in the inner sleeping area and a small window at floor height to peer out of without getting out of your sleeping bag. We use the storm porch as storage for the tent's carrying bag and other such items, and use the extension to cover the main door and keep it dry if it rains.
The windows at the front of the tent give it a 'bay window' feel, letting in lots of light despite the tinting. The curtains cleverly unroll from a pouch at the bottom with zips to make them easy to open or close.
It takes us a bit more than 30 minutes to put it up, mainly because of the large number of guy ropes. However, once it is up and pegged down, it's rock solid, thanks to the metal poles.
It is definitely worth getting the footprint and carpet to make it comfortable. This is a large comfortable tent, well thought out and built to a high specification.

This is a fantastic tent! We had an Outwell Nevada M before this one.
We love the space. The living area, even with cooking facilities erected and table & chairs up, has enough room for us, our two dogs plus any visitors we may be entertaining. In the sleeping area we use one half as our bedroom (two x 3ft wide Areo Airbeds = 1 super king sized bed) and the other for clothes, storage and dog beds.
The tent itself is easy to put up between two of us, averaging 30mins. We do use a footprint with it which certainly helps in wet weather when packing away. We also have the Montanta 6P carpet to give extra warmth on colder nights. The side porch works really well in wet weather as a place to take wellington boots/shoes off and store wet coats.
We like the sewn in ground sheet throughout and the fact that the tent is made to withstand huge amounts of water being chucked at it from the skies! It can get very hot in sunny times and therefore our next purchase will be the roof cover, but with all the doors open you can get some air circulating which cools it down.
Well worth the money and I wouldn’t buy any other tent than an Outwell for their outstanding attention to detail and superb quality of product.

Just came back from our 3rd camping trip in this tent and it really earnt it's money !
Are first two trips were spent in glorious sunshine but last weekend in Brixham it rained for 3 out of 4 days and continuously for 18 hours heavy rain .
The tent was totally dry inside not one drip of rain and it withstood heavy wind also .
It's very spacious and easy to erect ( 1 hour ) with all the furniture etc .
We used the side porch as a cooking area as the weather was so bad .
Are next purchase will be the front extension or the awning . Won't buy another tent apart from Outwell as you really can tell the difference in the quality !
In summary this is a brilliant family tent for those who want to be comfortable and dry with plenty of space .

Great waterproof and windproof tent - the extra awning (with sides) gives masses of room for undercover outdoor cooking and washing up. Very roomy tent for family of four & two dogs. Even though it's a six berth, the bedrooms are a squeeze for six adults. There's a handy zip on both sides to allow an electric cable to be brought inside easily.
Easy for two people to put up.
Do purchase the carpet and footprint!

We decided to sell our lovely kampa Tenby 8 and Our fab Vango Icarus 6 , for the Outwell Montana 6p which size wise is in the middle ,it has more living area than the Icarus 6 which means we can cook, dine and still have room for our camp chairs and floorspace for the kids to play.
The panoramic windows with zip up curtains is just brilliant it's like sitting in a conservatory and as the sun moves round and if it gets to hot inside you can just zip up those few curtains and still have a view.
We purchased the roof protector as well, because our Kampa had a roof lining inside the living area, it really does make a difference to the temperature inside the tent, it has a silver side that reflect the sun and keeps the tent cool and a black side to absorb the sun to keep the tent warmer in cooler weather and protects the roof from bird dropping, tree sap and UV rays. The roof protector also darkens the sleeping compartment, which we were used to in our Kampa which had the sleep tight system .
On the third night in the tent we had a thunderstorm, torrential rain and we stayed dry.
The Outwell Montana 6p is a lovely spacious tent, easy to erect and take down and we managed to pack it back into its bag first attempt.

Brilliant tent that can easily accommodate 2 adults, 2 children and 2 large dogs without you tripping over each other. Easy to put up if you know a thing or two about tents, otherwise watch the YouTube video!
I'm 6'3' and I had loads of headroom and plenty of space in the bedroom.
The only downside is that it's a bit of a pain to pack away, if you don't get it right first time, you'll have to unfold the whole tent to fold it correctly or it won't go in the bag.
I bought mine 2 years ago (2012) from Go Outdoors and it cost £250! It has recently gone up in price again though, so I got a real bargain!
We now have the awning to go over the front, as the first time we used it, we didn't have the awning which meant that we couldn't really cook in the dry or we'd risk creating a build up of condensation on the inside of the tent!
