2 Reviews of the Montana Lake Front Extension

Got one too also think its worth every penny cook in it so our of the elements. As you we use breathable groundsheet in it.Thought I did see a full enclosed awning some while ago but prefer it as is wouldn't swap.Do fund still trip over the 'lip' in to tent doorway with correct tension in the main tent . Still feel that open aspect can make it feel susceptible to winds if blowing directly at the opening. We try to pitch to avoid that .

Bought in the sales last winter, got a real deal on it too. Paid £199, and it's worth every penny.
I was torn between dropping a Monty 6 awning on the front, and buying this, and I'm happy with the choice I made.
Although the length is stated as 2.4mtrs, the actual usable space is only about 1.6mrs, as the ramp of the tent ventures into the extension at the bottom.
As it's open fronted, and we use a breathable groundsheet which lets any water that falls onto it pass directly through it. We don't mind this actually - its a great way to get in, take your boots off, and then enter the main tent.
Because its made of the same pollycotton fabric it looks the business.
The only downside (hence the reduction to 9/10) is that its a faff to hook over the top of the tent - I'm 6ft and needed something to stand on.
Now if Outwell did an awning for this tent it would be my 1st choice - but seeing that I paid less than £200, I can't moan.
