I bought an almost new Nevada MP from the Privilege Collection in silver grey earlier this year and myself and my daughter took it to Devon on holiday in July. I had already done a trial run in the garden (it just fit!) and managed to put it up myself - saying that the day was dry and fine with no wind!
When we arrived in Devon it started to rain and was very windy (didn't help that we were on the top of a cliff) and found it extremely difficult to put up between us - my daughter has zero experience and I have slightly more! We did managed to erect with the help of a kind couple who saw us struggling but rain managed to get in through the front door (I used the cross camping method which is great when it's dry.) and next day had to go and buy extra towels from Sainsburys (but thats another story).
The weather didn't improve that much but the tent kept us warm and dry. I took the tent down myself - daughter was 'out of action' as she had injured herself previous - another very long story haha.
Since bought Outwell's universal extension size 4 but havent used yet as this would have been very useful for our Devon trip.

I currently own a nevada mp (treetop green colour) great tent for the 4 of us (2adults,2children).
Plenty of room, easy to pitch (around 30mins).
Wish I bough the front extension tho to add that extra space for cooking and storing things under during wet weather.(easy fit with an event shelter)
Great tent for those shorter breaks (weekends away).
You will not be disappointed with it.

Bought the Nevada MP this year. We have used used it twice so far. One 4 night trip and the last 2 week trip to NE Scotland.
The tent is very spacious and the tinted panoramic windows made it feel more so. The slightly longer sleeping pods give plenty of space. We used 1 pod to sleep in and the other as storage. It would be better if the 2 pods could unzipped completely. Use one and have extra living space rather than having partially unzip and roll up 1 pod on the floor.
The mesh fly screens on all the doors are excellent. There are lots of storage pockets and places to hang things from.
The tent proved to be waterproof in 2 days of heavy rain and force 4-5 wind on an exposed campsite in Fife. I put out 2 extra storm guys from the windward poles and extra pegging points on the large side panels. This was just as much for my own piece of mind as to increase the wind stability of the tent. The fibre glass poles and large panels tend to blow about a bit in winds over force 4.
The fabric is good but the quality of the plastic door zips could be better. The front door zip jammed so it does not fill me with confident for its longevity. Having 3 doors is good. Plenty of ventilation in warm weather and always a leeward door in rain & wind. The 'rain cover door' works well if the rain is only coming down not angled or sideways in the wind. One annoying feature is the small vent above the rain cover door. It is permanently open, all other vents are closeable. It means there is a head height draught into the living area when windy.
Pitching is straightforward all 3 poles are identical but it needs 2 people to pitch. 1 person can do it but it is a struggle to slide the poles in the sleeves on your own. I found raising the front pole first worked best for me.
I will add extra pegging points to the side panels, velcro a vent cover to the rain door and carry extra storm guys.
Overall it is a good tent.

We've only used this new tent for a couple of nights, but it has impressed so far.
The Nevada MP was a bit of an upgrade for us as we had previously had a much loved Vango Orchy 400 which had served us well for 6 years of heavy use.
All the materials used in this tent felt like they were of a high quality, substantial and well thought out. I love the silver colour of the tent – it stands out on a campsite. The pegs provided seemed good enough quality, I don’t know if they are different quality to previous models, but we have plastic fluorescent pegs for the guy ropes, black plastic pegs to peg round the base of the tent and some very heavy duty metal pegs for the corners. We may add a few rock pegs for particular campsites, but see no need yet to replace any of the supplied pegs.
This tent definitely needs to be put up by two people unlike our old Orchy which I could do on my own. The poles are really solid & need a bit of manhandling to get into place. The pitching instructions provided are less than useless, so it is wise to find a guide on youtube before attempting to pitch the tent. However, it was relatively easy to pitch and I’m sure we will speed up as we become more practiced. We will be using this tent for touring in France over the summer and it certainly seems easy enough to pitch & take down every few days as we travel.
We were not too sure about the idea of having a tunnel tent originally, but the Nevada stood up well to hammering rain and 40mph winds. It felt very solid and robust in the wind. No rain made its way into the tent despite it raining for the whole weekend and we had no problem with condensation. There appears to be plenty of ventilation.
The inside space is amazing; the two bedroom pods are very flexible. As there will only be two of us using the tent, there is loads of space. We used the larger pod for sleeping & the smaller pod for storage and dressing. It was good to be able to keep the living area clear of ‘junk’ and just have our table and chairs in there on a cold, wet evening. We had not bought the tent for the ‘panoramic’ windows, but the advantage of having them came into play when we were trapped in the tent in the rain. We had loads of daylight and good views all around. The window curtains were brilliant – they pull up from the bottom and so you can have a bit of privacy, but still let loads of light into the tent.
The storage pockets along the bedroom pod doors are useful – a decent size & they really helped to keep the tent tidy.
One of the main reasons we bought the tent that we have not been able to test yet is the advantage of having 3 doors. When we camp in hot weather we always found that our old tent heated up too much in the sun. We are hoping that with 3 doors open (2 of which you can prop up with king poles for shade) the airflow should be better. Another positive for warm weather is the blacked out ceilings in the bedroom pods – this should keep the heat down a little on warm mornings. We liked the tiny floor level window in the bedroom pod, but I would think that it would prove to be a bit of a novelty rather than really useful.
We didn’t invest in a carpet as we have loads of picnic rugs that we are happy with. However, we did buy the footprint which we are very happy with. This is a big tent to dry out & the footprint should make the job much easier, even with the heavy rain we experienced the bottom of the tent was really dry and clean. It also made positioning the tent easier when we were pitching.
All in all, we are very happy with the tent and can’t really see any major flaws. It is flexible and should suit a wide range of uses for many campers.

I have the NEVADA MP From the EVOLUTION RANGE in TREETOP GREEN, Carpet, Footprint and the Porch.
I love this tent.
There are 2 of us that use it regularly and at times 3 of us.
It has plenty of space. It feels light and roomy but without feeling transparent and losing the feeling of privacy.
I agree the front door slopes so if its raining and you use this door it can let rain into the tent, however we used the side door (storm door) when it rained and this avoided that problem. I assume thats why that door is there, for when it rains!
Lots of windows means it has a feeling that you arent as enclosed as you can end up feeling with most tents.
Good height room.
I like the fact that the bedroom pods are separated by a zip which zips all the way round. Some don't zip at the bottom. This feels more private between pods.
ONLY BAD THING-Not about this tent. Lack of communication Outwell have with their customers. I think for such a supposed reputable company their customer service skills are disgusting. They ignore all quieries on emails and facebook etc. I like their products so won't stop buying, which makes me get frustrated at myself hehe. Most companys who cant be bothered to contact their customers I wouldnt touch with a barge pole!

This is our 6th year camping with this tent and it has served us very well. We have had the odd broken pole and also a small rip in one of the doors along the zip when we were camped on a slope in the wind but all easy to replace and fix. I love the storage pockets in this tent and how easy it is to put up. Perfect weekend getaway for a small family.

Great tent! Rather like the summary in my daughters bedtime story its not too big, not too small, but just the right size. We are family of 4 with two kids 2 & 5.
We came from a much older cheaper Vango of similar size and the quality (different ranges I grant not manufacturer differences) was a huge step up. Everything is well designed and well made, the guy line tidy with velcro are excellent for making quick pitch and de-camp with no tangles, the poles seem thick and sturdy and all the pegs are the plastic Y shaped ones that are light and strong with exception of the 4 metal pegs for the main corner points.
The 'rain safe' door is a must for the UK climate, and a real luxury after wet tent syndrome during the inevitable late night toilet trips with the kids. The only enhancement is they could do with velcro patch or similar to latch the door open to when you climb out and stop rain on the door entering the tent.
The panoramic windows are brilliant and what attracted the wife to the tent in the first place, the blinds are useful for morning/evening but can attract condensation between them and the window overnight so be sure to leave them down for a bit before you pack up. Mesh inners on all 3 doors are great for leaving tent ventilated in hot weather without it filling up with bugs (or sneaky children)
Only failures so far are we destroyed a few pegs recently but that site has at best a gravel car park for pitches, and last weekend the shock cord snapped where it had rubbed the metal ferule repeatedly but was quite easy to repair as we only lost 20cm or so - lets hope it holds up!
We don't have the carpet yet as its stupidly over priced and I have yet to find it on sale.
We do have the footprint and I would strongly recommend to extend the life of the groundsheet and also to help align the tent. As another review noted, if you pitch it with straight sides its nice and formed around the front, if your off slightly you do tend to end up with one corner tight and the other slack.
Even the bag is easy to use to get the tent back into it, and its not overly heavy once all packed up.

This was our first large tent, replacing a dome with porch as we now have a dog and this review is after our first use, 3 nights on the coast outside Weymouth, windy conditions when erecting.
We made the schoolboy error of not practising how to erect the tent before our trip. We hurriedly read the instructions in the tent bag which were basic and wrong and put it up, battling against the coastal wind. As a result it took us a lot longer than it should have done and we didn't quite have it sitting perfect. Initially we didn't notice that one pole was slightly shorter and was helpfuly colour coded, but we fixed that quite quickly - this wasn't outlined in the tent instructions. As we were rushing, we didn't quite manage to keep the front and rear poles vertical but we only noticed this after having all our kit inside, at which point we didn't bother realigning the pegs etc. Having watched some youtube instruction videos after getting home we have seen some better ways of putting it up so hopefully next weekend when we camp again we will put it up perfectly and quickly. We will also remember to include the overhead lantern pole which we didn't use!
Tent itself is amazing. Lots of living and sleeping space. 3 choices of doors and optional curtains. We didn't realise that the fly net is to be used when the external door is open, instead we were always using both. We know for next time as it makes night time excursions much easier! You could happily sit in here is needed if the weather was terrible with plenty of space for all of you.
Having read lots of reviews, we bought two accessories, the external ground sheet and the carpet. Groundsheet is useful as it allow you to peg out the tent location beforehand and keeps most of the tent groundsheet clean (although you still get some water at the edges and you will have loads of bugs in between both the sheets). The carpet is ok but seems a waste of money imp. From the reviews I was imagining it was like a picnic blanket carpet, take your socks off and dig your feet into it. It isn't. Instead it is very thin, a bit like a microfibre camping towel. It is nice that it fits the living area perfectly but as you end up stepping in with your shoes on (or with the dog with 4 wet feet) it will get wet and dirty around the edges. I think a better solution might be just to buy a travel rug instead then you have the best of both worlds as the groundsheet by the door can be used for boots etc and the rug can be used further in when you have taken off your shoes.
Overall, I think we made a great purchase, I'd fully recommend it but don't bother with the carpet unless you cant find an equivalent travel rug for less than £60ish that the carpet retailed for. Only gets 8/10 because despite the vents it did get quite a bit of condensation inside after it was cold and it rained, so when we took it down there was a lot of moisture inside the tent. Possibly this happens to every tent. One of the 4 corner strips also got sliced by the metal peg. It sliced almost halfway through. If it tears fully I will need a replacement strap which wont be easy to stitch in.

We came to the Outwell Nevada M from a much smaller tent that we used to carry on bicycles. So obviously to us this tent is a real villa. The recommendation to subtract one from the recommended five persons is standard camping math, but for two adults and two children it really is generous. We like it how you can both completely seal of the two bedrooms, or completely open them into one big room (depending on the children's mood) - or completely remove one if you were just a single couple.
The living area is just as spacious, taking a table and four chairs plus smaller odds and ends. We really love the big windows it has. Having to sit inside in the rain really has become quite comfy. The groundsheet is pretty stable, so the optional carpet is just that, an option, a picnic blanket under the table serves just as fine.
New in the three weeks 2014 season, this tent has, between Fort William and Canterbury, already withstood its share of what the British lovingly seem to call 'real British weather'. It is as watertight as a submarine and, properly pitched, as storm-proof as a windjammer. (Note that on a sunny day it will stand up with only two guy ropes and four corner pegs. But that meant that one stormy night I found myself with mallet and head torch in the downpour, hastily adding the rest of the guy ropes.) The fully sewn-in groundsheet makes you feel safe and sound. Some complained about the threshold that is so high you can stumble on it, but once you stood ankle-deep in the wet grass outside you know why this is a necessity. Obviously the only door to open in the rain is the side door with the fixed extension above it ('rain safe doorway')!
Reinforcements that were added over the years, like the wind stabilizers on the guy ropes, or the Duratec fibreglass poles, give you a really solid feeling, details like the little Velcro retainers for the guy ropes or the really solid carry bag are really thought through. Pitching on a new site every other day is far less of a hassle than we had feared, with a routine we have it down to twenty minutes in good conditions. Much has been said about the quality of the pegs that come with the tent, and I concede ours are well bent already, but broken, no, can't imagine what you have to do to actually break something made of so soft and pliable material. Our old tent had aluminium pegs that bent on every single use and needed to be hammered back into position, yet never have I had to replace a peg so far. Let's see what more than one season in this tent shows us in that respect. But really, I would not condemn the tent, if it lasts, only if I had to buy new pegs. This detail does not limit my view that, altogether, it pays to invest in a quality tent.

Review for:
Nevada mp in treetop colour from the Outwell evolution range & footprint & carpet
Bought:
2014
Pros:
•large bedroom pods
•large living room
•bedrooms private from each other by a zip which zips fully round. I personally don't like the ones where the material just flaps open at the bottom or only toggles to separate bedrooms. This feels for private.
•stayed waterproof during monsoon which was our first stay in a tent and thanks to this tent we aren't put off camping!
•love the panoramic windows, even inside the tent it feels like you can see everything and doesn't feel claustrophobic like other tents do
•the storm door is good to use when raining as it has a roof on it. Rather than the front door which slopes and would let rain drip in if you used this door. Good it gives you two options.
•carpet for it is good quality and add extra home from home comfort
•we have found the footprint essential more so in helping make sure we are pitching the tent straight but obviously it helps protect the groundsheet as well!
•I like the tent has a sewn in ground sheet as I hate creepy crawlies and hopefully this will help keep them out than a tent without the ground sheet sewn in!
Cons:
•all I can think of is so far we have broken one black peg. We will probably buy some spares.
Given 9/10 but only due to pegs.
Note: we have bought the extension porch so we can cook outside but have shelter. Not used it yet so can't comment. If its as excellent as the tent I'm sure we will love it!
