3 Reviews of the Ottawa 600

We (4 adults and 2 kids) have just returned from our first camping trip with this tent and we loved it. I did so much research before I bought it on sale from Argos for £169 (its £154 at the moment) and it's more than worth its money.
The Vacanza by Outwell range are Outwell tents made exclusively for Argos so that they can be sold at an affordable price. The spec is slightly lower, but its has all the features of the Outwell Hartford XL at a fraction of the price.
The Tent is really heavy to carry and takes up quite a bit of space in the boot of the car. It took four of us about an hour to put it up because we are first timers and it was raining.
It was tricky because if you put all the poles in and then try to put them into the ring pins there is a lot of tension on the red and black poles and it takes three strong people to get them all in place. Once those ones are in its still a bit tricky trying to find which pole goes into which ring pin. Two corners were really tight where 3 poles met. I would get someone to get inside when it comes to the pegging out just to make sure the groundsheet is all smooth inside.
Both doors are multi use. The back one behind the sleeping pod has a curtain and a bug mesh and we removed the sleeping pod and used that area to cook in with the door opened. At the other end the main entrance has a fantastic porch area with detachable ground sheet. This was great for us because it was so muddy. We all left our boots, coats and toys in this area, keeping the bathtub groundsheet on the inside clean and dry. There is also a bug mesh inside the porch are and we didn't bitten at all. (We kept the potty in the porch area at night.)
The inside of the tent is impressive. Loads of sleeping space, 3 double bedrooms pods can fit a double or two singles lengthways with a small space at the ends for bags and handy built in pockets for wallets torches etc (or two bedrooms if you want to use both doors). You could comfortably fit 2-3 more double air beds in the living area.
There was quite a bit of condensation in the living area and front porch in the night, but it did dry out in the morning sunshine. If your a seasoned camper there is ample amount of space for a table and 6 chairs, kitchen equipment and storage.
This is a great tent if you are planning a long camping trip away with a group. But if its just a couple of you, because of its size the living area it would be hard to make it cosy and warm at night , great if its really hot and humid night, but not so if its a cold and wet one. The sleeping pods do warm up if you keep them zipped up.
I hope all the info helps, I would recommend it for a large family or group of friends and we can wait to go camping again.

Huge tent and very heavy to carry. 2 of us found it tricky to put up even though we're seasoned campers. Also 2 poles disintegrated when taking it down for the first time - the elastic had snapped in both of them. A real shame, so had to return it.
On plus size, great big family tent with 3 decent sized bedrooms. Huge living area with optional windows and a great tunnel which you could cook in if it's raining and a great place to dump outdoor kit. Maybe we were just unlucky with these poles. But do watch out for the weight of this thing!

This tent is identical to the Outwell Hartford XL; we've checked several times , the only differences we spotted are the colour and water proof rating.
I love mine the living area is massive. We managed to pitch it first time in 40 mins on site; not bad considering we quite new to camping.
The porch is excellent some where to sit, cook, take shoes off etc . Loads of windows with curtains and lots of storage pockets.
The only down side to this tent is, if it's warm you really need both doors open and the second door is situated behind the middle bedroom but this seems to be a common design floor with most dome tents
