3 Reviews of the Rockwell 5

This is our weekend tent! Our other tent is an Outwell Vermont XLP! We bought the Rockwell as we often camp in groups and cooking equipment gets put in an event shelter for all to share. This tent is ideal for our family of 4 in this situation as it's quick to put up and down, yet still sturdy and enough room to stand up in! No room for cooking but the main reason for our purchase of this tent was for it to be a smaller tent for use for just 1-2 nights.

Easy to put up and live with. We use 6 of these for scout camps, now our standard tent, chosen for good price, roominess, ease of pitching and take-down and relatively robust.
Outwell present it as a weekend tent but we use it successfully for up to 7 nights (albeit only for 5 scouts sleeping, not cooking).
In strong, gusty winds the existing guys were barely adequate at the front when the wind is side-on or towards the door; as it isn't always possible to pitch with the rear facing the wind, I'm intending to add an extra guy to each front corner to run straight forward (leaving the existing guys to run in line with the front pole as per the pitching instructions).
Outwell supplies the tent rolled sideways but we pack it rolled towards the door so the air is pushed out the open door, as the pitching video shows.

Very easy to put up and down the only issue is that the two front guy ropes provide support to the front section of the tent. These need to in the ground very well or the front section will and does collapse
Spent a few wet nights in this tent no leaks
Very roomy inside
Second out well tent owned
Would recommended for a good weekend tent
