3 Reviews of the Woodburg 6A

By: TomNorman  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2019   Rating:

We purchased our tent in 2019. Three years on it is going strong with only a small repair to the front door. Some of the stitching round the door zip needed attention.

We have used it on numerous occasions for weekend trips to Weymouth and week long trips to Wales. It's perfect for a family of 4 but on the longer trips we did purchase an Outwell universal extension which makes life a lot easier.

The optional separate bedroom is a great idea. It's perfect for our oldest to get his own space to sleep in. But can be removed with ease.

So overall over the three years with a lot of use it has stood the test of time and is still going strong.

PROS

Stood the test of time.

Quick to inflate and set up.

Good size

Flexibility on space with the removable bedroom.

Survived very high winds and rain in Wales on a number of occasions.

CONS

No mesh to side door.

No porch to side door.

Bedrooms are not blackout.

This is a great versatile tent, big enough for a family of 5 with a dog. It goes up easily in about 10 - 15 minutes with a hand pump. We used it in Devon last year in storm Dorris and it didn't cause us any problems. It has an additional bedroom at the front of the tent which can be taken down if not needed. My teenager son however loves having his room away from us!. Bedrooms are nice and dark. Lots of windows in main tent area but with blinds that can be pulled up full or half height. The front of the tent has a mesh panel. We originally had a wolflake 7 (poled version) which we loved but was just to heavy. This tent although not as big, is ideal for short breaks away or long holidays.

The only downside is it doesn't have a side porch, so you can't really use the side door in the rain. Great tent for the price.

We purchased our tent at the NEC show in Feb 20 from the Outwell stand as new old stock. A practise pitch in the garden and all seemed good. We took it down to Devon recently in sun and rain. It comfortably held 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. It’s easy to put up with the air tubes, simply stake out the corners and pump up the middle sections first before working outwards.

Positives:

Quick to erect

All in one design

Plenty of space for a family

Negatives:

No side porch - in the rain the side door is effectively useless.

Front porch doesn’t have a two way zip, so can’t just crack the top for ventilation in the rain.

Manufacturer's Description

Sleeping up to six in four rooms, the Woodburg 6A has three zones for flexibility; pitch the third bedroom in the outer zone and maintain full access to the living area.
