I bought this as an ex-display tent (outdoor) sometime around 2004/5 for £70. I was attracted by the classic ridge design, interior space and headroom - I am 5'10. Pitching is easy for one person in reasonable weather but in high wind two people will help to keep the flysheet under control until it is pegged down. Pitching is inner first. Despite the modest 1500mm proofing of the flysheet, mine has not leaked even in continuous torrential rain with high wind i.E. A British summer. The sleeping area is fine for two, with adequate space around a double airbed. Now, with just me, there is stacks of room. The porchway provides sufficient room for a table and two chairs. Condensation is always a consideration with modern materials and the Challenger will get droplets hanging on the inside of the flysheet, particularly in colder weather. I have other tents, but this one is far easier to pitch and take down than more fashionable dome tents, and far more stable in high winds than these fibreglass pole wobbly things. My Challenger has been in regular use about twice a year for up to a week at a time. Apart from occasional re-proofing, it remains as my preferred choice for any break of more than one night.

Still the best four man tent I've owned and still going strong after 5 years regular use (at least 8-10 times a year) one of the selling points of this model is the ease in which you can put this tent up, its size is why I still go back time after time to use this model I have other tents but still this is the most reliable one I have ever had and would recommend this as a great family tent

I find it to be tall enough for me. Being an older camper I feel I need to be able to stretch out and stand up where as in a lower tent being about 6' I find this difficult and this tent suits me. The sleeping area and a resting area all covered over by the top cover. I would recommend this type of tent also for family occupation.
