3 Reviews of the Cross 2

I agree with the other reviews that this is really a one man tent (although cheap tents you always need to buy one size up). Regarding the size, I'm 6'3, but fit in it ok if my head is at the entrance. It packs away very small and light, perfect for cycling/ motorbiking. Very quick to erect and pack away too. I've used it in poor weather, no leaks. I've had this for 4 years now and it's still fine.

Used this tent on a long weekend away, great little tent overall, not recommended if your over 6 foot tall like I am I struggled to get in and out of it. It rained really heavy on a couple of days but the tent did not let in one drop of rain. Really easy to put up and down, I found it a bit claustrophobic for 2 people to fit in but great for a one man tent

I have one, and the one I have is for three people . Cost about £30 . Bad point's . Argos said there was a free head torch and something else but I can't remember what it was . Asked at the counter . Was told it was packed in the tent . Not it was not . So for that Argos you lose a point . The other bad point was to me the pole that went across the top to stop the rain dripping in to the storage area was just that little bit too long . A bit of a struggle to get it in place . But when I got home I cut half an inch off the pole now it fit's just right . Another point lost .
Now for the good part . There is a lot of room in it for one person ( me ) . Dead easy to put up .Pack's away small and the carry bag is light strong and easy to handle . All tent peg's are crap I know that and Pro Action have crap peg's . Me I carry six inch nail's and have a small bar at right angle spot welded on the end to hold the guide rope in place . Cheap and easy to use . If you lose a few it's no problem to get a some more made up .
I camp on a motor bike . So to me a tent must be light, small to store, easy to pack, And keep the weather out, This done all of these . I took mine on a 17 day trip to Hungary . And out of them 17 day's it rained 10 of them . Hat's off to Pro Action it never let a drop of rain in . On one of the last day's coming home while camping on the French Luxembourg border it was one pig of a day really throw up a storm . Rain was coming down in bucket load's and the wind was nearly laying the tent flat . At time's I though I was going to lose it . But it held up all through the night . And in the morning after looking round not one bit of damage . In the storage area a few thing where wet . But that was my fault really as I should have brought every thing in to the main part of the tent .
Am I pleased yes . Would I buy another one yes . If it's just you on your own and travelling light . For the money, You are going to be hard pressed to find a better tent .
