Not too sure the year of manufacture as we got this tent second hand. No instructions with it but it is so easy to erect. Have used this tent for a few years now, and what a sturdy tent it is. We were caught in Hurricane Bertha last year in Scotland. The wind tried to blow us away but the only thing damaged was one zip on the door. Even in the full pelt of the winds and rain there was minimal leaks. Love this tent.

I bought this tent after making a mistake about a small eurohike, that was too small and cramped for what we needed. This tent? For an Argos, I thought it might do a couple of years. It went on strong for several. Extremely easy to put up, I got it down to 10 minutes. Lovely amount of living space, an advantage was in the model I had, I could zip the front wall halfway into the tent, cutting the living area in half and creating a porch. You could unzip the whole front wall and tape it back or you could just use the door. Two additional doors on the sides. Groundsheets, separate, but most were when I bought this tent and yes like an earlier review, its difficult to fit it really snug with the bedroom 'pod' Not sure you could get 5 in there, it would be rather cosy. My daughter and I used it for several years. The ONLY reason I purchased a new tent was I wanted my own room, sleeping next my daughter had become intrusive and we both needed a room. (I read at night and she complained). There is only the flimsy divider.
For a first time I would recommend this tent, it's a little heavy but its a big tent. It's sturdy, has with-held substantial rainfall and been in some pretty breezy conditions. I've even picked it up and turned it through 90 degrees fully erected and re pegged it. It looks like a 'poor relation' to a lot of others on site, eg, Vango, Coleman etc. But it holds it's own, probably better than most. Loved this one.

Went camping in September 2011 in Cornwall. We
Brought this tent as our own tent was ripped
To shreds by strong winds.
This tent only took 3 of us about 20mins to put up and was very easy to do so. Great headroom, a nice bright colour, lots of storage.
Don't think it would fit 5 adults, there were 3 of us all adults and we were comfy and could fit all our stuff in but I don't think more
Than 3 could fit.
Easy to put up and excellent at standing up to strong winds and torrential rain

Never been camping before bought this tent from Argos in sale £119.00 2 people 2 put up very easy. Only problem was groundsheet, we have bought extra large groundsheet and some stick on velcro which did sort it out. Brill tent, there was 4 of us, 2 adults 2 teenagers, loads of room but you can not buy any carpets or canopies for this tent

Borrowed this tent from a friend as a trial run before buying anything, set it up with 2 of us in under 1/2hr, plenty of room for us and 2 10yr old kids, but might be a bit too cosy for any more unless the kids were younger. The separate groundsheet was the only issue, could do with a larger one or a integral groundsheet as it became quite windy overnight and it let in a bit of a draught. Otherwise, stood up to wind and a bit of rain no problem.

Have taken this on 2 trips. I am a single female camper, and although the instructions said this tent needed a minimum of 2 people to erect the tent, by my second trip I was actually able to put it up completely on my own. There is definitely a knack to it but once you've cracked it it's easy.
Only negatives I have found so far is the groundsheet and the sleeping area. There doesn't seem to be a successful way of ensuring the groundsheet does not have a gap between it and the fly sheet, so in bad weather this could be a big issue. It copes perfectly adequately with light showers, but in heavier, sustained rain I suspect flooding could occur.
The sleeping compartment is supposed to sleep 5, but I think it could only really take 4 and with virtually no privacy. There is a very flimsy 'curtain' which divides the area in two, but there are not enough ties to secure the curtain in place.
That being said it was great value for money in my case as I managed to buy it when it was reduced to less than half price, it's back up to full price now though.

Bought this tent last season June to September with gale force winds in August (Norfolk)has withstood everything only disadvantaged would be the groundsheet not being fitted as it does get a bit drafty, remedied this with a larger groundsheet and picnic rugs
Easy to erect myself and grandson (female 53yrs and grandson 9yrs) in the April winds this year

I purchased one of these tents for camping trips with my wife. We used this for the first time over the Easter bank holiday, as this was the first time we have used this it took some putting up (just over 1 hour) but I'm sure next time we should be able to speed things up. There are lots of guy ropes and I would advise purchasing some heavy duty pegs for these as the pegs which come with the tent are just standard metal ones.
The bed room is great for 2-3 people but not sure you would get 5 people in this as stated. The tent is very spacious with lots of room in the living area. The ground sheet is separate from the main tent but fits fine we had a couple of heavy thunder storms but the tent did not let any water in at all. Not sure how this tent will stand up in the wind as it was very calm where we were but there are lots of guy ropes and it seams very stable. Looking forward to using this tent again very soon. I feel this is a good tent for the money.

I recently bought this tent, went away for 12 nights, had wind, rain, sunshine, and thunder and lightening, it stood up to the lot, no leaks at all, ground sheet is not attached as stated, mud flaps only on the living area not sleeping area as you would expect, saying that we weren't cold at all and had all vents open as it does get stuffy in the night, over all very pleased a lovely nice warm dry tent.

Have just used this tent for the 1st time,we had 2 adults & 3 kids, would say it was a decent tent all though a bit drafty as the ground sheet isn't attached as stated, had some rain & wind and it kept us dry. Over all it's not a bad tent for a family. We put the tent up quite easily but we did require 2 people to do this, there was plenty of space although would struggle to take more than the 5 of us for sleeping.
