I bought this tent for my daughter who is wanting her own space when we go camping. We already own the base seconds 4.2 and the base seconds full which this Illumin tent can twin with.

The tent is extremely easy to pitch, pull it out of the bag, shake and bingo ready to go!

Quechua say it is not always necessary to peg down for the night, however as it was windy conditions and we were planning a couple of nights stay we did so.

Her single airbed fit inside with room down the side for bags, a double airbed would take up almost all the available space leaving little for belongings, however two sim's perhaps would be a more viable option.

The lights are a lovely useful feature, two at the far end and one by the door, giving enough light for most needs.

There was some condensation on her bedding one morning, that was after a cold night of -5. I've taken a star off for this.

The tent is easy to strike, fold up the ends, twist them in and put in the bag. Inside the bag are tent pegs and guy ropes should you need them (we have not used the guy ropes even in the windy conditions we experienced there was no need).

Overall I'm very happy and would recommend them.

2 people looking for a HIKING TENT with built-in light and that can be pitched quickly

Size and weight Inner tent: 2.10 m x 1.2 m. 3 kg.
Inner tent space: Just the right size for 2 adults.
Storage space (or living area for certain tents). Shoes can be stored inside, between the bedroom and the flysheet.
Entrance/exit Front, efficient and easy: large D-shaped door with 1 zip. No need to climb over your companion to get out.
Pitching/ folding Instantly pitched. Free-standing tent (place it wherever you like after pitching, and if there is no wind, there is no need for pegs = ready to use!). 9 pegs and 5 guy ropes included in case you need them. Folds down in 15 seconds (as shown in the instructions and on www.quechua.com).
Lighting system 3 separate switches. "Warm white" LED bulb. 20 lumens (0.3 watts) per spotlight. Battery case (3xLR6/AA supplied). Approx. 7h30 battery life for continuous use.
Waterproofing All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (an ENTIRE TENT is put through 200 litres/hr/sq m for 4 hours!) and field tested. (PU-coated polyester flysheet, 120 g/sq m Polyethylene groundsheet, fully thermo-bonded taped seams). There is a breathable polyester inner tent under the flysheet that prevents naturally-occurring droplets of condensation from touching the inside of the flysheet.
Ventilation 1 upper air vent at the back, 2 lower side vents, breathable inner tent fabric. You can leave the inner tent door half-open at the top using the 2-way zip. Increasing ventilation also serves to reduce natural condensation.
Poles Solid fibreglass for excellent break resistance.
Tent bag Flat disc, 65 cm in diameter.
Warranty All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years under normal conditions of use (your invoice or receipt provides proof of purchase date and price). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked out in your nearest Decathlon or Koodza store.
