1 Reviews of the Arpenaz 4.2 XL
By: Bluedragon Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2013 Rating:
Bought this tent July 2015 and used it once. Found it very easy to put up with 2 adults and stayed up very well through wind and 1 day of rain. I even managed to put it up with only a small amount of help from a ten year old. It packed away very easily too. Watching the video on Youtube also helped.
It felt very spacious for 2 people as we had a bedroom each and the living area's high ceiling made it feel a lot bigger too. The extra storage areas in front of the sleeping pods came in very handy as we turned one into our indoor portable toilet area.
The flysheet goes up first with fibreglass poles in it and once one end is pegged down, the whole fly assembly can be pulled out and pegged down, giving a very clear structure into which to fit the sleeping pods and groundsheet. I didn't have to re-position any pegs to get the pods to fit at all. Only shifted one to stretch out the fly a little more.
A good family tent which would allow 4 people fairly comfortably in the pods and could fit in a few more if the living space was sacrificed.
