1 Reviews of the Arpenaz XL 2
By: Johnny25 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2013 Rating:
For the price that Decathlon is asking for this tent we can not demand more.
The tent is good, good construction, nice feel from the materials.
The fabric is much more resistant than the tents from other makers in the same price tag.
The floor of the tent is its the weakest point, as, had to buy canvas for strengthening.
It has a good sealing (if the tent getting wet inside its due to condensation (although it should not be a problem)), and you must try to to open up a little the rear window and / or some of the doors, what becomes wet is the 'outer fabric' and is perfectly normal due to condensation).
I found the easy assembly, although the instructions are very explicit (I already have experience in Scouting).
The front space gives two suitcases camp of 50 litres each, and still fit two more small of 8-10 litres.
Do not think that this is a huge tent, because it is not. Its good for two people to sleep in space and at the same time cozy if you want. If you wish more space, buy the ARPENAZ 3 XL.
Has several inside pockets, two on each side.
You also have the possibility to hang a lantern in the roof of the tent.
For those who want a relaxing evening, good privacy within it, even with the light on this is the way to go.
I've slept in a lot less private tents.
The seams are sealed and seem to me tough. There are plenty of threads of the seams, as is easily seen in other tents of the same price and cheaper.
There's only a small thing in the tent that 'irritates' me deeply .
Regardless of the good price and good quality, there are cheaper tents out there with a lot less giving the possibility of closing the rear window and the 2 front 'air vents' (having a kind of velcro), but this one does not have that option, and instead of having a velcro , has a small solid and immovable rod!
I probably am I used to this feature when I shouldn't, because he thought this option was 'standard' in this type of tents.
Still I rate this as a great tent!
Surely you can better ones, but that will require you to spend a lot more!
