2 Reviews of the T3+
By: Trishb Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2013 Rating:
We bought this while on holiday to replace a HiGear Atom3. It has ample space for 2 and comfortable for 3. It is well made and good pegs are provided. The only down sides are that you put up the inner first so I am not looking forward to doing this in the rain! and there is no sewn in groundsheet for the porch.
Otherwise I am pleased with it.

By: Former Scout Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2007 Rating:
I needed an inexpensive tent for when I go away helping on Cub Scout camps for one or two nights.
The inner tent is pitched first, not ideal when it's raining, and the two main fibreglass poles are long and floppy until everything is clipped into place, which can make it a little difficult to pitch if windy. However, those long poles do mean that you get a reasonable head height in the tent (120cm) which makes living in it that bit easier and more comfortable.
The third pole forms a little porch that's useful as a wet storage area, etc. And as a result you can get in and out of the the tent in the rain without getting all your stuff wet.
The tent is mostly made well. The materials are good and everything is well stitched and sealed. My only slight issue is that one side wall of the flysheet seems to be a little too long and so flaps in the wind.
For £40 this is a good tent that will sleep three in not too much discomfort and two very comfortably with plenty of space for belongings.

Manufacturer's Description
Designed for 3 people looking for a BIVVY or OCCASIONAL HIKING tent.
Ventilation - 2 high ventilations (front and back), space between flysheet and ground all the way round. Everything is designed so that air circulates between the bedroom and flysheet, for better breathability and to limit natural condensation. Tent pegs - 5mm galvanised steel pegs for good twisting resistance. Cover - Tube: 25cm diameter/55cm long. Dimensions and weight - 2.1m x 2m bedroom. 1.1m storage bell end. 4.6kg. Bedroom space - Inner tent is comfortable for 3 adults, very comfortable for 2. Storate space - Generous storage bell end. Door - The big door opens fully in a single movement, meaning you don't have to crawl into the tent , which you will soon come to appreciate. Pitching/folding - Classic dome pitch: put up the poles with the inner tent, then add the flysheet to this structure and finally the bell end pole. To take down follow these steps in reverse. Waterproofing - Like all Quechua tents, the waterproofing has been particularly well-developed, approved in lab tests (WHOLE TENT in a shower of 200 litres/h/m²!) and in field tests (polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet; 120g/m² polyethylene groundsheet; sealed thermo-bonded seams). You will note that a breathable polyester inner tent beneath the flysheet means no contact with the condensation that naturally occurs inside the flysheet. Poles - 8.5mm hollow fibreglass poles. UV protection - Our tent fabrics block over 98% of UVB and 80 to 95% of UVA rays... for those looking for daytime protection, remember that a lot of UV rays can enter through one open door.
