5 Reviews of the T4 XL

This was an emergency purchase as we snapped our pop-up tent in rushing to pack it away wet.
Bought in Italy, it cost 79 euros. Big enough for 4 adults on SIMs. Useful porch area (without SIG) but bags and shoes stayed dry despite 3 nights of European torrential rain and thunderstorms in August 2018. Sleeping compartment with SIG also remained bone-dry.
No ventilation flaps/mesh flysheet so found it stifling when camping at Lake Garda in August. Quite tricky to get the poles into the pins and think this would be exceptionally difficult for 1 person to manage.
Very easy to pack away.
Took up far less room in the car than our original tent.

We moved on to caravans 2 years ago;now 60 -I still enjoy occasional camping solo with this great tent and agree with all above comments - I can put it up solo, lots room, very stable. And yes, I agree, wish it had sewn in groundsheet - can be very draughty in cooler weather. Had to buy thick socks one year to keep feet warm. Haven't found a better tent for solo use as I need to be able to stand up these days to dress but it still packs small.

Marvellous tent, plenty of room for two three would be ok too I think, but then I like plenty of space. Too heavy to be split up into two loads for hiking, deffo a tent for car use. Come too think of it just the job for two bikers with a bike each, all our biker togs and room to spare.
Positives:
Goes up easy for a largish tent I've done it alone several times :-). Roomy inner tent. Roomy porchy bit, two proper chairs and the cooking kit no problem.
Negatives:
NO FITTED GROUNDSHEET for the porchy bit! what were the makers thinking, head room is a bit minimal at the back of the inner = sleep head to door = no problem. If I'm really picky it could do with a double slider zip on the porch door but. I can manage :-)
Great tent, I got mine 'used once' via Gumtree, at the time (last autumn) it was new from decathlon for £90 ish mine was £40 with a tea cup ring on the inner door, up with which I can put :-).
£40!
Ps: its a nice mix of grey-green colours, blends in well.

Amazing tent, no complaints would recommend to anyone. As only 2 of us use it, there is plenty space and we had our double airbed in the bedroom with space either side for our clothes etc. The living space is also great with room for food, tables, chairs and a stove. No ground sheet was included with the tent though so we had to buy our own, this cost us £10.

We use it for weekends as our other tent is an aztec palacio 6 and is a bit big for the weekends. Its a good tent with handy pockets but you only just get enough room for a double air bed. Handy space outside of the pods the entire length of the tent make it good to store wellies, chairs etc, and it was up and full within an hour on the first attempt
