Oh dear, oh dear.I just re-learned that you get what you pay for.
On its first outing (outside the garden) this spacious family tent collapsed catastrophically on its second day and was unceremoniously dumped in the skip on the campsite.
Admittedly it was very blustery, but not 'extreme' weather, and the Outwells and Vangos were taking it in their stride.
The space inside was great for our family of five, but strangely that doesn't compensate for the fact it broke!

Difficult to erect if only two of you. Fortunately a kindly couple helped in our task. Can not stand up to strong wind, rattled all night kept us awake! Bought 2nd hand so can not complain. Previous seller also must of had trouble as 2 sections of fibreglass poles had shattered. No windows but plenty of doors.

Got one cheap at £99 inc p+p thinking it was similar to the Vango Aspen and indeed it is similar, maybe better looking due to colour. However even on first erection we had rips, and pole breakages, and I wasn't heavy handed. I wouldn't trust this tent on any night that I wouldn't be prepared to sleep under the stars. I gave it to a hippy seamstress friend who will either use it as a tent or make some new age dress out of it.
Tentastic were good enough to replace it with a cheaper model however my trust in Rage is lost, so we then bought the Vango Aspen 700dlx and it is truly fantastic.

Further to my earlier review, the Rage Narvik 7 DLX has gone to the great resting place for tents. It left this world in spectacular fashion impersonating a truly impressive kite in Hampshire while packing down.
The tent is great for mild and predictable weather but a bit of wind and anything more than a shower is sadly a challenge for this bargain tent…
While setting up (in July 2008), one of the anchor points ripped while we were pegging down. The conditions were a little breezy though it was sunny and mild so we were not expecting problems at this stage. The weather deteriorated unexpectedly soon after going to bed. Impressively though while some other users of the camp site had major problems with their tents, ours held up to the challenges the wind threw at it. I checked the tent several times during the night and only had to push in a couple of tent pegs a little more securely. The fly sheet rattled a lot during the night and not much sleep was to be had as a result. Apart from a few leaks particularly at seams and where the inner tent touches the fly sheet the Narvik gets a well done. While packing down however it went horribly wrong. The tent ripped at two anchor points in the more breezy conditions and it is now keeping my loft company. (If you have one of these tents and would like some spare poles (not all are ok) then feel free and get in touch to arrange pick up.)
My earlier review sang its praises and if it held up to its purpose then this review wouldn't be written. However having paid for a product that is up to a certain task it is not unreasonable to expect more than two uses from it. Tentastic were less than fantastic when it came to redress. As the tent was a little over a year old, they didn't want to know and it wasn’t worth the hassle pursuing this especially considering the price.
Good luck if you have one and please use it being prepared for the worst. On reflection I would have to withdraw the statement about whether I would buy another (posted earlier in the reviews). I have since looking at the reviews on this site purchased an Outwell Montana 6 and am so far delighted. The experience hasn’t put me off camping but has made me more aware of some of the pitfalls.

Just an up date of an earlier review. After another outing and some not substantial winds (15-20mph), the tent decided to give way. Bent 4 metal poles and shattered 2 fibre glass sections too. 3 seams also ripped. So after all maybe not the best purchase!

I too bought this tent on ebay at a cut of the rrp, for the price it suited all our needs. Great large bedroom with plenty of extra space and the living room catered for our table and chairs and protected us from the summer downpour of Aug 2008. The porch was big enough to fit our camping kitchen table and enough space to walk past without bumping into each other. However the porch seams do leak when it rains, this is the only part of the tent that leaked. It does take a while to erect and the flexi poles are not flexi enough and a couple have split and the metal poles for the porch have bent. The pole seams to the living inner tent have ripped but the tent still stayed up in high winds and rain. We also found the outer fly tent does not sit on the inner tent properly. Apart from all these little niggles it did serve our purpose and kept us dry in the wind and rain.

This is a massive tent with acres of space. I was impressed with the structures shape and the fact that there are doors just about anywhere you could want them.
Setting it up is a little tricky and the more of you available to do this, the better.
I have used this tent twice with mixed results. The first time was in a sheltered location with good weather except for one downpoor which the tent held up to. I was impressed and couldn't wait to get back in it. The second was set up in good weather which changed to quite windy and wet the next day. This is when it started to go wrong. Two of the poles bent and one of the anchor points ripped off while setting up. Not a good start. When the weather hit us, the tent despite all efforts to make sure it was anchored down well did get bashed about a bit. It held up to the wind though not the rain. After four hours we started to have leaks from the high points at the seams but considering the weather thought it was ok (especially for the money- less than £100 with postage). On packing down, as soon as we took the fly sheet down, the inner tent just went for it. The seams must be quite weak as some more anchor down points tore.
I have left a neutral rating because in good weather, this is an excellent tent. Beware in windy or prolonged wet conditions as it is not really up to this.
Would I buy another? Probably not mainly because setting up is a little complicated and the seams are not up to our typical weather.

Got tent new from ebay back in January used it first time on 1st Aug when it rained like the great flood. Luckily it did stay dry to put it up which did take some time even with the help of some friends. After that every thing was great. I only paid about £85 including postage great buy. Just bought Gelert Meridian 8 because it is easy to pitch in comparison, we will leave feedback on this tent later.

After buying this tent for a 10th of its rrp , BARGIN ! the size of this tent is totally huge, 3 double and a single air beds across in the bedroom and the same with more for living in! And all this within the SIG. Only fault was ripping a seam on erection due to the loose top pole. But all in all a fantastic family tent
