Just bought 1 and hoping it will be ok for a weekend break away in the lake district or to Wales at Bedgellert . Read the reviews and I bet it takes us about 2 hours to put it up hahaha . Hope its ok it all looks in good condition its only been used once and the previous owners realised it was far too big for them . All we need now is a double warm sleeping bag and air bed . Any ideas who sells good quality warm double sleeping bags please ? . Thanks ::)

Similar to the reviews below really- bought as a cheap 'lets see if we like it' start to a family hobby, our rage had its first outing in may of 2008- a long weekend. It must be me but I've never managed to get it up in less than an hour, but Im a bit picky-- that first w/e gave us a mixture of weather and showed up the common issue of leaks- the good few times we've used it in rain the outer gets heavy and floppy, touches the bedroom inners and water seeps through- remedies have included using clips to 'gather' the outer material and putting balloons between the inner and outer (it does work well!) A sloping pitch makes this problem worse.
The corner straps and internal tension straps are weak too- I've had to replace most of the webbing with paracord and rubber bands.
All said and done however, for the price you can get them for (ours was 70 quid) you get a lot of tent for your cash- ideal for a first timer (if you can repair any faults that may occur onsite yourself), and if you dont get on with camping- its not a great deal of money lost. We love it, and have just invested in a new Gelert Horizon 8- the stepsons now got the Rage- (Literally!)

First proper outing for the tent, spent 6 nights in Shell Island - wet and windy - 2 adults, 1(6ft 2) teenager, two children 3 and 7 - had a great time and the tent did us proud. When others failed their owners.!
Easily put up - 20 minutes if that, I was so worried as appeared flimsy and light. First night heavens opened/winds whipped up, then noticed the inner rooms were slightly touching outer skin, moved them and thus no leaks. Next night the winds were fierce and I honestly thought we would blow away - sewn in ground sheets in bedrooms, not in main living area so was draughty. And wind billowed tent, bedrooms remained cosy though. Tent stayed put, not a peg dislodged.Surprised.
Roomy and airy, bedrooms have zips so you can just have mosquito net covering, or complete privacy.Double air beds fit nicely in two smaller bedrooms(for two). Middle bedroom (for 4) also double airbed with space to store 4/5 large holdalls.
We cooked etc in the front 'canopy' part on very wet moments.
Tents beside us were blown down/poles broke whilst we were there, and my confidence in the tent just grew, and grew as we continued to stay dry and upright!
All in all a very good tent for the money. I got it on ebay (£42)for my sons birthday sleepover in the garden a year ago, so not really bought for 'real camping!'
We are now converted to camping and although tent was great, are going for one a bit more 'substantial,' just hope the next one compares for the extra money invested.
All in all a very good tent for the money and I would be more than happy to stay in it again - even if wet and windy conditions.

We have recently spent 10 nights in the aptly named 'Rage' tent. It was purchased as being as new for about £80 from a well known auction site. The trial assembly took only 20 mins to put up in our back garden which for the first erection I thought wasn't bad. I didn't notice the lack of anchor points along the edge of the fly tent until we spent our first night in France, with the wind billowing through. By day three the corner webbing broke loose which allowed a larger gap between the ground and the fly tent, and by then the wind had subsided. More and more broke during the week. No worries about ventilation or condensation in this tent.
Not a complete disaster though, as it rained hard and loud enough so that shouting to each other and being heard was impossible, we did stay dry!
Good points as mentioned in the review above, you get what you pay for, £8 a night, not bad.

We chose this tent because of its generous size and 3 separate sleeping ares. It was easy to put up and there is excellent head room in all areas. For the price we were very impressed. That was until it rained! we are seasoned campers so used to the odd condensation drips in the mornings etc, but have never experienced anything like the rain we had inside our tent - it came through everywhere - not just the seams as you might expect in a cheaper tent. All 3 sleeping compartments were soaked with water dripping through onto our sleeping bags. Furthermore, once the wind got up a bit the whole tent billowed and had to be repegged several times. Even when pegged firmly there was a lot of movement - maybe you expect this on a lighter weight, but tall tent? I would say it was still good for a short, weather guaranteed weekend but not if there is any risk of reasonable amount of rain or wind. We are going for 2 weeks in Wales soon, so were very pleased we had experienced the limitations of this tent on a shorter, closer trip. As a result we ditched it but never the less, for 8 of us it was a cheap weekend compared to any other accommodation (we got it for £70 on ebay) and we have had lots of laughs over it since.

Good points:
1 On the trip we just got back from we got hit with a very heavy thunder storm, based on other reviews I've read about rage tents I expected water to be leaking everywhere. We got slammed with rain for about 10 minutes and not a single droplet of water come through.
2 The main living space in this tent is huge there is more than enought room.
3 I paid £100 for mine, for that price you get one hell of a lot of tent. Most tents of that sort of size and type cost more like £200 to £350.
Bad points.
1 The skirt/valance does not got right around the tent. It stops short of the bedrooms leaving a 2 to 3 inch gap between the floor and the tent.
2 Theres no fly sheet on the door its just open or closed which makes it even harder to keep winged bugs out.
Conclusion
If your worried about bragging rights/snob factor or hardcore tent geeks pointing at you then do not buy a rage tent. If your someone who just wants some summer fun at a good price then get this tent.

We bought the 8 berth from tentastic as above for 60 pounds or so.
Our first experience was a very wet weekend camping, with some very heavy downpours. The tent 'pooled' water over one of the bedroom compartments and started to leak, we re-pegged as tightly as we could, but the water still kept collecting up, so not a great review on the wet weather front.
We took the tent on a 2 week holiday and found it to be pretty reasonable (especially for the price), the weather was great so we didn't suffer the problems mentioned earlier.
My main gripes are; The tent does not have a fitted groundsheet, so the wind whipped through it, under it etc etc, other people's tents were not moving in the wind, but ours was billowing! I did not have a lot of confidence in it's waterproofing or design as mentioned earlier.
Good points; It took about 20 minutes to put up. The living space is quite a nice size (we used the spare bedroom for storage of clothes etc. It's very cheap!
