1 Reviews of the Front Extension
By: LindsayH Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2010 Rating:
We've just used the extension with our Double Horizon tent.
The extension hugely increases the overall size of the tent and gives a really good area for storage, cooking, and even just being able to sit out in a bit of shelter from the wind.
Unfortunately we had no end of problems getting the extension to stay on to our Double Horizon in anything other than a gentle breeze – there’s no way of physically attaching the extension to the tent (instead it’s done via a strap that goes over the end pole on the tent and is pulled taut, and the guy ropes). However, we have since been told that extensions aren’t meant to be used in wind so that’s probably why – though it’s a bit frustrating because we bought the extension to give us some protection from the elements (and in fact one of the reasons we bought the Double Horizon was because there was an extension to go with it). We wonder whether it might be designed to fit the Triple Horizon rather than the Double Horizon, which we think is not quite as tall as the Triple. Also one of the webbing loops that the poles fit into snapped.
