1 Reviews of the Landmark
By: 4adventurers Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2011 Rating:
We bought this tent because it was on sale for £300, and I wanted a polycotton tent.
We've got a lot of comments and interest from other campers. I wouldn't buy it again though because:
The design isn't great; the doorways flop around unless they are either pegged down or fastened up. When a sudden rainshower surprised us, and the doors weren't pegged shut, we had to keep pushing the doors outwards so that water didn't run into the tent. Even then, water leaked in when the wind blew the doors inwards.
Although it isn't a huge tent (4 berth at most), it takes 2 people to put up with one on each side to hoist the 2 outer poles. You have to line everything up perfectly, not easy due to the design, to get anything approaching a symmetrical teepee.
A person can stand in the middle, but not move around much. It is a small tent.
On the plus side, it was nice and cool except during extremely hot weather, when we couldn't bear to sit inside the tent. The airflow is nice with even a tiny breeze. We didn't have any condensation, despite not having a footprint.

Manufacturer's Description
The Landmark is a high-tech interpretation of the classic tepee tent form. The two outside poles and an additional inside light-metal frame provide high wind stability and plenty of internal space, which is not, as is usual with other tepee tents, disturbed by a central pole. The two entrances can be set up as awnings and provide storage space and good ventilation for the spacious inner tent. The big windows provide good views to the outside – even in bad weather.
