We love this tent! We decided we needed something a bit bigger that what we had, with some rainy day space when planning a family holiday with our 2 young kids to Northumberland in 2015. We bought the carpet for the communal area which makes it feel really homely. We've used it for four years now without any problems at all, in Brittany this year after some fairly heavy rain the first week we were there, some other campers were unfortunately experiencing leaks and water collecting on the inside of their tents, whilst ours stayed snug and dry. It's quite a large tent to carry and transport and not the quickest to put up, but quite straightforward and worth it for the space and comfort that you get.

After many weeks of day and night researching the perfect tent for our family (2adults,1child) - we decided on the:

Royal Athens 4.

We have also purchased the extension for our tent.

The tent itself is about 7m long by 7 wide ( T shape with extension)

Without the extension the tent is 7x3.

There are 2 bedrooms, and a fully enclosed porch/ side annexe (perfect for toilet area/storage/storing those muddy boots)

We have 3 entrance/exit points as normal. All have sheltered canopy over hangs as standard.

The tent itself is really gorgeous, thus providing the home from home feeling we needed.

The front of the tent is a bath tub ground sheet - lovely light and airy feeling with lots of windows for allowing in light!. We have chosen this area as our dining/kitchen choice. We can open the door and have lovely airflow and watch the world go by us.

The front of the tent can be separated by a fully zipped double door. Or if you prefer you can tie them back and have the 1 massive living space.

The next area is our communal main living area (sewn in groundsheet) the windows and doors again provide us with a lovely amount of light and relaxing environment. In here we have our inflatable sofas, camping chairs, table, carpet etc. The decor is indeed lovely, it's warm beige, brown and cream, which we really like. When we purchased our tent, we were given a package deal that included the carpet and footprint. The carpet is indeed lovely and soft. Very nice feel under bare feet.

The tent has only been used 2 times so far, once in on off showers last month ( mainly wet) and the other time was luckily in the sunshine.

We didn't experience any leaks, nor did we experience any condensation problems, we like lots of ventilation which the tent is able to provide and prevent - your choice.

For us - this tent is a home from home.

We usually do a 5* long haul holiday every summer, and now that we have become happy camper/glampers, we look forward to so many last minute breaks.

Next year - we plan on taking the tent to France, stay a couple of weeks. The camping addiction is strong lol x

The Athens 4 has a massive living space that has plenty of height for standing and with its large side and front windows allows plenty of light into the tent,making the living space a great place to spend time whatever the weather is doing outside.

There is a side annexe that can be used for extra storage or living space and the front canopy offers additional shelter from the elements, inside the Athens 4 there is also organiser pockets for increased bedroom space and the bedroom area is darkened to encourage a good night's sleep in the great outdoors.
