Brought this tent on ebay as unused. Brilliant tent, so well made and spacious, and I got it for only £300. Some of the best money I've ever spent. It was like home from home, this isn't a weekend tent, too big for just a weekend away. Haven't had a chance to use it again yet, but I'm looking forward to spending a week in it this year. Its really heavy at 48 kg, but they no longer make it, which is a shame. Because its so good and well made, I now have a love for Royals.

We are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 kids so we wanted a large tent but not to big. Saw this at our local camping shop and realised what a fantastic buy it was. We have been on 6 holidays in it now shortest being 4 days up to 2 weeks and it has been fantastic. We use all the bedrooms and then in the main carpeted area we put the toys and clothes in one corner and still lots of room. The front part we use as a kitchen and eating area which is fine plenty roomy enough, we tend to use the side door as our main way in and out. Would have liked it if the extension part fitted this tent as well especially when we go away for longer. Would tell other large families to get one of these tents for sure.

Purchased the Barcelona new for this season replacing a Kalahari 10. I have never bought a Royal tent before but salesman highly recommended it for the little extra features that are included such as how ventilation is managed and how you can open up the tent in good weather in different ways. We had been considering a Vango Maritsa but this swung it for us. Easy to pitch and with practice takes about 45 mins. Very sturdy. We tested this the hard way over half term in June where it rained heavily for most of the week plus one night of gale force winds. The tent took an absolute hammering from the weather but stood up well with no leaks or damage - 10/10 to Royal! Other tents on site did not survive so well. The main living areas is bright, airy, and roomy making a great social space for when you cannot site outside and for general living. You can stand up with plenty of headroom to spare (I am 5' 10') Bedroom sizes are OK with one double and one that can be made in to 2 doubles or one large bedroom with a simple divider. For a family of 4 our 2 boys shared a room with one acting as storage. The integrated porch is generous in size with plenty of space for us to set up our kitchen unit as well as table and chairs for eating. This helps keep the living area clean and tidy. Only minor issue we have identified is that the tent and bedrooms all come in a single bag. Great for packing but when taking down wet woudl mean the inner bedrooms would have to be packed together. Will be buying an extra bag to get round this.
